The food here was really spot on. From start to finish absolute perfection! Loved every course. However the service really is to be desired. Sat at the bar to wait for table and others who came in after were seated first. Added note to the booking that 1x coeliac menu req, I asked on arrival to confirm and they then explained the menu at the front desk which was great but then when seated I was handed the garlic bread which I asked is this meant for coeliac and then it was taken away so this hadn’t been noted for our table, then when ordering main course i mentioned that I was ordering from coeliac menu so just to confirm and our waitress stood back and said “well actually that doesn’t even exist for the main course sooo” raised her shoulders and hands while chewing gum talking to us which never looks great in a nice place like this. It was the worst attitude I feel I’ve ever experienced as a diner in any restaurant. I mentioned the garlic bread situation and to ensure I didn’t get the incorrect dessert then low and behold was given the wrong dessert and then waited 31 mins after my boyfriend had his dessert after chasing it while the staff sang happy birthday to three different tables. Never offered to order any drink after we finished ours during the main course and also we noticed the garlic bread was “bottomless” but were never offer any further. Asked for the bill then the tables at either side of us were given and paid for before us (neither asked for) by the waitress who then cleared the tables instead and another member of staff had noticed we were still waiting, fair to say we had to remove the 10% discretionary tip for the service as it really was awful. It was as if we had been forgotten about. On a Saturday night I understand it’s busy but it should run like clockwork with smile.
