   The crab starter was minuscule and didn’t contain a noticeable amount of crab The burger was cold, not very meaty and low rent

   I love bluebird usually but was quite disappointed by the service on this ocassion. We had a reservation so we arrived a bit early but didn’t get seated until at least 10 minutes after our reservation start time. The waiter assigned to us was the most unpleasant waiter I’ve had to deal with in quite some time. He seemed hurried, distracted and frankly irritated by having to wait on us. We ordered drinks and they brought the first half of drinks with the second half not being ready yet, one us at that point asked to change his drinks order (which presumably hadn’t even been prepared yet) and the waiter snapped at him saying he’s already placed the order so it couldn’t be changed. I wasn’t having it so even though my friend was ready to let it slide, I spoke up and made the request again on his behalf at which point the waiter turned to him with open irritation and asked what he’d like to order instead, he asked literally for a rum and coke, and he grudgingly agreed to change the order. I am still dumbfounded at his behaviour and u can’t understand how difficult it would be to simply change a drink order that hadn’t been prepared yet. Obviously didn’t want to be bothered to request a simple change. Even if it had been prepared as long as it hadn’t been brought to the table I’m sure changing it wouldn’t have caused the restaurant financial ruin. The food came and it was lovely for the most part, the only let down was the dessert in the kids menu. The brownie was rock hard, dry and chalk like, not at all like a brownie. No moisture in it at all, my kids are never fussy when it comes to desserts but neither of them could eat it, I took one taste and understood why. Overall a nice meal and dessert was the only let down food wise, the service in the night was not great at all and if it were my first time, I probably would never return but I’ll chalk it down to one bad waiter and nor representative of bluebird in general

   Dear Temitope, It is wonderful to hear that usually you love coming to visit us but then most upsetting to hear what a poor visit you had recently. I apologise on behalf of the waiter and am investigating this as you kindly note that this mean you shall not return, but his attitude could have had exactly that effect on another table. If I do notice that a member of staff is not having a good day I send them home or into the kitchen as it is a major part of the front of house job to be pleasant at all times.    Awful awful service - they cannot take simple orders - asked for eggs royale with hollondaise on side - complete mess up (and we were just two people) and waited forever for correction. Had also ordered fries - nothing came. And then they said it was never in the order - and it definitely was!! Literally imbecile waiters serving who cannot take a two diner order correctly. The place has gone so downhill. Won’t ever be coming back.

   The kitchen staff would be advised to learn that other good and even mediocre restaurants are happy to leave something out of a dish if the guest has an intolerance/illness and there are no reasonable alternatives in the menu. I would only ask for something that makes me feel ill to be left out of a dish if I can see that the restaurant is not busy. And I would never ask for something to be put in a dish because that would mess up the kitchen’s stock control. The kitchen today did not want to make a change leaving truffle out of the mash. Thankfully, Grace is a fab manager and sorted things out but otherwise it seemed that the kitchen staff wanted a nice easy time today and therefore were not willing to accommodate a guest. Not a good look on the restaurant.

   Had to ask for a waiter to order food and each time we wanted a drink. When food arrived some things were missed and was told it was on its way. First time visiting and due to poor service wouldn’t go again.

   Staff at reception were very lovely warm and respectful. Unfortunately our table was delayed… however the food made up for it! Delicious . Will return again x

   Food was good but service was awful. 20 mins wait to even get water. Chips didn’t turn up, spent the whole meal trying to flag down a waiter to ge them and then again for drinks. We didn’t have time for pudding which was a shame as my sons 21st. Will never go back.

    Had to wait 45 minutes for our table but it was worth it for the food
