   I normally have really great food at Blue Crab. I was really disappointed this time. My risotto was both over and under done at the same time, and I ordered an add on of a “large” scallop that was no more than an inch. That was an extra charge of $10.

   Had the halibut and while everything else on the plate was tasty the halibut was tasteless and rubbery. Service was mediocre, we were sort of an afterthought of our servers. He popped in to check on us rarely, mostly when he remembered we were there. With the prices they are charging the food and service level should be better than it is. We won’t return

   Blue Crab desperately needs an update. The decor and the menu are both very dated - I don't think much has changed since they opened over 20 years ago. The elevator was out of service in the parking lot and there are no stairs located in the parking lot to access the restaurant. This posed quite a challenge when figuring out how to get out of the gated, locked underground garage and then access the restaurant. Most of the guests were over 80 so it felt a bit like dining at a rest home. The food was fine but certainly not memorable or worth the price charged. Prices are comparable to other fine dining in the area but the menu, preparation and presentation are all woefully lacking. Originality seems to be unheard of here. Our server was the only entertainment or ambience created. The view was lovely but not enough to compensate for the various shortcomings. The menu touts being local but the wine list was not at all local. There were no interesting cocktails available and while the hotel has a bar, a simple martini was not even listed on the cocktail list. All in all, very disappointing and nothing like it used to be. We won't be back.

   A couple of years ago, I had gotten the clam chowder and the bowl was huge. It was great. I was disappointed to find that the size was probably a fourth of what it had been.

   Gosh, we came in with very high expectations and we are accustomed to awarding mostly four or five stars for all of our eating experiences, all over the world. However, it's just very hard to offer a very high rating, based on our one-time experience. The food was presented beautifully and tasted very good. Portions were pretty small for the price, but high quality ingredients. Are issue was with the speed of the kitchen and food service. We had read quite a few reviews about the kitchen not serving food at a timely manner. Unfortunately, this was our experience. We were a party of six and one of the last tables to be seated for the evening. As we watched the dining room begin to clear, it took 40 minutes for a bowl of seafood chowder and four crab cakes to arrive. It was a total of 1 hour and 25 minutes for the remainder of our food and we only ordered three main dishes and one additional appetizer to share. We were eating lightly. We were one of the last tables to leave, which indicates peak kitchen hours were far behind, so we just could not understand the long delay for food to be prepared. To be fair, the staff was friendly and attentive. Very clean and upscale environment with sensational views, as witnessed in numerous other reviews.

   Get rid of Robbin’s parking! There’re a rip off and there machines are very hard to follow. Hard for us older folks to park way down there in the dungeon when the elevator doesn’t work.

   Blue Crab for our first time and on New Year's Eve included delicious food, great service and distributing neighbours. The restaurant had plenty of available seating, yet we were sat beside another couple at a close distance who were pretty disrespectful when it came to their level of chat and bodily functions... Not the best way to celebrate our night out. Good thing the food was great!

    Tried for the first time on New Years Eve, did not disappoint! Our server Mike was wonderful, the view was phenomenal, and oh yum the food! We will.be back.
