   First and foremost this was our first trip to San Antonio, we know nothing of the area or what is good or not. Thanks to Google reviews we chose this wonderful place for our girl trip bday dinner. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and wonderful service this place delivered. Our wonderful server Blake went over the top to make sure we had the right wine, the best appetizer and made sure our dinners were served with love. We had the fillet, or should I say BUTTER…..you could cut that meat with a fork it was the best fillet I have ever had. We made sure to have Blake tell the chef that we were impressed and he came out to thank us. Chef Allen explained where the meat came from and how they make it daily. His love for his job shows in the food he prepares. Not only did they deliver wonderful service but they brought us a dessert sampler that blew our minds and our taste buds. John the wine sommelier was a wonderful ending to our meal as he brought us out a dessert wine from Hungry and it was just the right drink to help end our night. Leaving this place was like leaving a second home you don’t want to leave. Our weekend was wonderful here in San Antonio, but it was made even more spectacular with this wonderful restaurant.    It was my husband and i’s first time coming! We came to celebrate our Valentine’s Day. It was exactly the right vibe we were going for. The drinks were good, and they suggested good options for both drinks and food. We got the wagyu pizza VERY good and the dried NY strip with the truffle Mac and cheese. Everything came out so good! They have very healthy servings of the meals. We also ended the night we a Togo dessert which I cannot wait to dig into. 10/10 experience. We’re already planning our next visit to try new things !

   Jasmine our sever was outstanding, the food was awesome, and the ambiance was great. The only issue was that the hostess was terrible. They didn't have a clue what they were doing. Looked and acted lost.

   The food and service are unparalleled by any other restaurant in San Antonio! This is the 3rd or 4th time we've enjoyed the BLU experience. Each time we share the same thought - "Definitely more expensive than most restaurants in SA, but you absolutely get your money's worth - both the food and the service are the best!"

   This was a Wednesday evening celebrating my Birthday; just my husband and I. We didn’t have much of a wait (even with a reservation) and were seated soon after. We entered the main dining room to a live female pianist. Our table was towards the back of the dining room and was adorned with “happy birthday” confetti and a reserved note card wishing a happy birthday as well. Our server Jose was attentive, engaging and super customer service focused. We each ordered a glass of wine, (no apps as we are a meal oriented couple) and shared a wedge salad. It was delicious. I ordered the lamb and my husband the bone-in ribeye; each medium rare. Broccolini and potato fries were our sides. Each of our orders were cooked medium well and had to be returned. Jose was profusely apologetic as was management. Even the chef came out to express his apologies. We were gifted with an enormous slab of cake on a nicely adorned plate (the standard birthday slice birthday guests and anniversary guests receive). Also tasty. The drawback to the evening was not the overcooked meat but the ambiance. Why restaurants are leaning towards that “club vibe” is a conundrum to me. While the pianist was not obnoxious and delightfully sang pop and top 40 songs, it was loud. And when she broke, the house music was too much. Too loud and not romantic or soothing whatsoever. It was hard to converse with that music in the background. The ceilings are enormously high and the sound carries throughout. All other aspects of the restaurant? 5-Star. Ambiance? Not so much. Will return but perhaps during the day vs evening.
