   Food was really good and seasoned well. Beignets and fried greed tomatoes were great! Chicken was fried really well. It is byob - but know going to there is a corkage fee per bottle - we were not aware of that (not on website). All in all fantastic food and service.

   Really enjoyed my experience at BlackHen. Service is top tier…so kind and attentive. Everyone checked in on us to make sure we were ok and enjoying our meal, and the food came out quickly. The food was delicious as well. The chicken, cornbread, greens, yam and fried green tomatoes were outstanding. The peach cobbler was amazing (would definitely add a scoop of ice cream if that was an option!). The Mac and cheese was just ok. Overall, I would absolutely return! I recommend.

   Ambiance is not good. No attentiveness from servers. Seats unorganized , tables not clean, bathrooms so close to seating literally in front. Chairs and tables literally on top of one another. You can bump the stranger next to you at their table. Super uncomfortable. 20mins before anyone said anything with only a few people in there. We left.

    Dinner for two. I had 1/4 chicken dark, Mac & cheeses/ yams. He had 1/2 chicken, collards & cinnamon apples. We shared an order of deviled eggs. Both our meals were really good. Our only complaint was the Mac & cheeses a bit salty. Not sure if it was one of the cheeses that can gave it a salty taste or made w/ too much salt. Still was a well enjoyed meal. We will be returning.
