    A 24-hour advance booking is required. Tea service is offered Wednesday-Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If payment is not made by 11:00 am the reservation will be cancelled. Tea service is $70 per person (includes tax & gratuity) with a two-person minimum (odd number parties are accepted). Cancellations for refunds MUST be made before 11:00 AM the day of the reservation by calling (713) 904-3537. Mail, email, and text messages are not accepted for cancellation. A credit card processing fee of 8% will be assessed for the refund. Splitting of tea service is not available. Unfortunately, we do not offer Vegan, Dairy-Free, or Sugar-Free as a part of our tea service. Dietary constraints should be noted when the reservation is made.

                                            One of many delicious dinners at Bistro Menil! Of course we started with the Eggplant Fries, which were delectable. This time I tried the Duck Salad, and it did not disappoint. I may ask for extra dressing next visit. Love this place!

                                            The lobster bisque was the best in town. The mushroom crepes and Basque cheesecake were excellent too. Peppermint tea was very good.

                                            The service was excellent, food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was super cool. We had a few dietary restrictions and there were options for everyone which is fantastic! Great location near the museum.

                                            Our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Our server was very respectful of our lunch as it had been a long time since I saw my friend. Our server answered all our questions and provided a fantastic recommendation for my gluten free dinner. It is extremely rare to find a restaurant with a dedicated gluten free fryer and they have one here! I will be back as many times as I can to work my way through the menu. I can’t believe how comfortable the space was; not to mention it is across from the Menil Collection. Truly a peaceful setting for some truly delicious gluten free food right in Houston - something that is hard to do in Houston.

                                            When we arrived at peak dinner hour (6:30) the dining are was nearly full and there were two goups (3 and 8) next to eachother and competing to talk above the other. The room is acoustically live and this was quite annoying. When the larger group left everything settled down to a very comfortable level. The food was excellent, especially the cassoulet special and the beef short rib! Service was good, especially the presentation of the cassoulet by chef Greg and his follow up visit with our table. Nice!
