Bistro du Vin is at the heart of our hotel in Birmingham. Experience an elegant and informal setting for lunch and dinner - where guests can meet, celebrate or simply pass the time - at the classic, French-styled Bistro du Vin.

We like to keep things classic and simple at our Birmingham bistro. Inspired by French home-style cooking with robust earthy dishes and slow-cooked foods, our Birmingham restaurant’s menu has an undeniably French/British flavour combination. It's about serving up dishes that rejoice the fresh and seasonal produce. It's about enjoying fairly-priced à la carte dining in a warm and relaxing setting.

All served by attentive and exceptionally knowledgeable waiting staff, happy to explain the dishes, the ingredients, and how our talented Chefs create them. Always on hand, your Sommelier is also ready to advise, guide, match or recommend the perfect wine.

Not been here for many years. Belated birthday Sunday lunch with a friend. Only us in the Bistro at 13.00, it got busier from 14.0. Excellent choice of help yourself starters called Market Table great idea. Then it's either Roast Beef or Chicken for main with lots of vegetables. Good wine list but expensive. I have booked again.

We booked last minute and were surprised that we were able to get a table. However, it was early and our table was booked for 615. On arrival at the restaurant we were only the second couple in the restaurant, although it did fill up as the evening progressed. We were only there for less than an hour as we were going to the theatre. We only had a main course but the food was wonderful. So good that we have booked again for next weekend, where we will try the tasting menu .

The service was awful. Waiting over 45 minutes for cocktails which came after 1st corse. The service was so incredibly slow. Wine accompaniment was lacklustre at best. Would not recommend and will definitely not be returning. Although quality of food was good, service really failed.

cosy atmosphere. the dishes lacked flavour, which is a shame. the service was ok. the experience was therefore satisfactory but could be better with more tasty dishes.

Really nice meal, excellent Bordeaux by the glass, scallops and steak cooked to perfection. Only reason I give 4 stars is that the muscles were a bit gritty. Will definitely be back!
