   The food was delicious and service was excellent. The potion size on the food was smaller than most restaurants. Without the starter the entree would not have been adequate.

   Absolutely out of this world food, atmosphere, and service. We got a friendly greeting as we came in and were quickly seated at a table with a great view. Very friendly waitress who made great recommendations and lunch started off great and got better. Of course the wine was fantastic, but the food was really incredible. The Korean chicken and waffles were out of this world good, as was the focaccia bread. The suggested wines to pair with the food matched them perfectly and accented and enhanced the meal. After lunch we had a wine tasting which was great. Fantastic and thoughtful service throughout. Bistro 42 is absolutely a great place to come eat and try the wines, and we will certainly visit again.

   I was pleasantly surprised by the menu and food served - delish! Nice variety, something to satisfy majority of desires, all while showcasing local markets. I'd highly recommend..

   Visiting from the U.S and spent a long weekend in Ontario Wine Country. We made dinner reservations in advance at 3 different venues prior to arrival. We were excited about North 42, based on what we saw online, pics, menus, etc. We stopped in during the afternoon for a glass of wine, and to check it out, prior to our evening reservation. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, so the vibe was good. We looked at the menu and there were some great options that sounded really good. When we arrived for dinner, we were presented with a different menu. Understandable as a lot of these venues base their offerings on farm-to-table availability and seasonal offerings. Our server Shawn, was polite, responsive and did a good job. They offered Risotto on the menu, however, were told it was in fact not available until tomorrow. My wife opted for the Cornish Spatchcock Hen with sautéed peas, lemon mascarpone arancini. She felt it was just ok, lacking any real flavor, kind of bland. I elected to go with the Hangar Steak with Chimichurri, roasted garlic and fingerling potatoes and Demi glaze. The Hangar Steak, which is supposed to be a very flavorful cut of meat if prepared correctly, lacked any real flavor, was somewhat dry and a bit chewy. The fingerling potatoes had so much salt in them, they were not eatable. Our server apologized and offered to get me another order, however by that time we were to far through our meal. The server did provide a discount for our inconvenience which was appreciated. The venue is really nice, with an outdoor deck overlooking the vineyard. IMO, it seems there may be a chef issue in terms of how these dishes are prepared, seasoned, etc. Hoping this can be informative for the owners so they can address the issues.

   We recently had lunch at North 42. Ambiance is wonderful. Waitress was efficient and pleasant but the wait for our food was very long. When the food finally arrived it was very good.

   As usual North42 served us a wonderful meal. There were 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Try the burrata salad - it is excellent. This is one of our favourite restaurants for a special meal.
