Bistro 19 is a vibrant Mount Lebanon staple known for its "excellent food and service." Guests rave about the "delicious" Mediterranean dishes, seafood, and desserts like the "triple chocolate cake." While the atmosphere can be "energetic," attentive staff and a diverse menu make it "a true gem in the South Hills."

Bistro 19 never disappoints. We're always happy with the food, service, and wine selections. The portions are very generous, too, so we always feel we're getting a good value when we dine there. It's definitely a neighborhood gem!

Bistro brunch was delish. Eggs and bacon perfectly cooked. Mimosa was very good. Scrumptious dessert. Impeccable service!

Well - The food was outstanding- as usual And the French onion soup is as expected- fabulous ( it is the only restaurant in the world that’s knows how to salt soup - just perfect - never to much Except- out waiter was more interested in watching the football game than taking care of us - no bread or butter and when I complained he removed our plates and butter knives- and was rude Oh well next time we will ask for a different server

Everything about the experience was wonderful except for the noise level, which made conversation difficult.

This was my second time at Bistro 19 and I'm beginning to think I shouldn't try again. The first time my husband and I tried this restaurant based on compliments from friends and family, the restaurant was packed so we waited a rather long time for our meals. When they finally came, my husband's meal was fine, but my salmon was so overcooked it was barely edible. The waitress recognized that was overcooked and offered to replace it. I refused because we had waited so long already and my husband had his meal ready to eat. The restaurant comped my meal even though I didn't request it, but I went home hungry and disappointed. On this latest visit, we were seated immediately since we had a reservation but the table had not yet been cleared from the previous diners and we waited a considerable time before one of the bartenders came and cleared it and took our drink orders. My husband ordered one of the on-tap beers. Our "waiter" returned with a glass for him that was about 1/4 full, saying that was the end of the barrel of that variety. I think it would have been better if he would have just returned to get a new request. Our food orders were taken a bit later, but it was a minimum of 30 minutes before our dinners arrived. We all enjoyed the food but, based on my two experiences at Bistro 19, I'm wondering if those I know who have had great meals there are just luckier than I am.

This is a very cute space. We sat in the u-shaped banquet towards the back, so it gave us a little privacy. We had a vegetarian and a gluten sensitive diner in our party and both were happy with their options. (GF probably more so since they had gf rolls and the popcorn sundae for dessert!) All of the other people in our party were pleased with their meals; I had the duck confit (minus the Gorgonzola) and it was fantastic. Nice wine selection; not an overwhelming number of choices, but some good ones. Will definitely go back!

Honestly, I’m upset that I am not eating anything as remotely delicious today, as the steak I had there last night!
