For the price of the afternoon tea, a lot was left to be desired. We arrived on time and we were taken upstairs to a nice area however the service was extremely slow, as there was only one server for the entire floor. It took 20 minutes to be asked about our tea choices and there was a limited selection of teas and they were out of two teas (ones that we were hoping to get). Over 40 minutes later, the food arrived with one less sandwich that was listed on the menu and the bread for all sandwiches were plain breads versus what the menu stated. The waiter never showed back up to get new teas or even refill the waters. With the dry scones, it was impossible to continue eating as we didn’t want to choke on the food. Overall, for 215 euros for 4 it was a huge disappointment. For the price point, you expect great service, great teas and a great overall experience and we received none of that. Find another place to have afternoon tea as it was not worth it

First visit for 40 years for special birthday get together with family not seen in all that time. There was confusion with booking when we arrived, my table of six had been given to someone else but before staff realised they sent us upstairs to look for our table, it took 3 staff to sort it . Eventually given a new table. Food was great waiting staff very attentive and helpful. The surroundings beautiful.

The atmosphere at Bewley’s is quite amazing, with the old building and it’s interior design, however the experience is not quite as special as you would have hoped for, mainly because it’s a very busy place. The personnel seemed stressed and the price for an afternoon tea €49, does not seem right when you look at what you receive. Teas are amazing and so was the coffee , but the assorted breads, mini sandwiches, scones and pastries were too small, too dry and very overpriced. I’d recommend a visit for a cuppa, but not for afternoon tea!

We had the Afternoon Tea and it was wonderful!! Everything was made in house and was delicious! The service was attentive and pleasant and I loved the ambiance of the library section I was seated in. Very much worth the price and the time. I read about Bewley's from a blogger and oh my, yes!

I was really disappointed by my experience with the afternoon tea in Bewleys. We were supposed to have 4 sandwiches each and we had asked for specific ones to be switched because of dietary needs and we got the one we asked not to have anyway and we were both missing a sandwich each. The portion size is tiny. We had to ask twice for a tea refill and it was cold both times. There were fruit flies flying around. The service was dreadful. For €54 each (mandatory service charge in there too) I felt completely ripped off. Would not recommend and will definitely not be returning.

Enjoy a journey back in time to a coffee house from yester years. All the best art and ambience of the three Bewley’s Cafe’s combined in one place. Worth a detour.
