   They have a policy of overbooking reservations. This is unacceptable. We waited an hour to be seated. Everyone had a reservation and waited an hour. They should be removed from open table. This ruined the experience. Other reviews warned of this. The restaurant doesn’t seem to care. Service of this nature is ruining trust in this app. Open table should remove this restaurant from the app.

   Worst experience we had on this restaurant chain. There is a reason you go to Benihana, and if the chef is unhappy and not on the mood to entertain he should not be working. We had reservations for 7:45. Waited for 1 hour and a half! Ridiculous

   Benihanas is one of my favorites and I’ve been to several locations over the years. We had reservations for 7 pm but was told they were running behind 35 mins. We waited and our table was ready in 35 mins exactly. The food at this location was very disappointing . The chef didn’t cook in the typical order and was slower so by the time we ate the food was cold and not seasoned well. The rice was hard and not the typical yummy fried rice I love. Not a good experience. Will stick to the other locations.

   Worst experience at a Japanese tepanyaki restaurant. Service was slower than you can imagine, one hour to get a bowl of bullion soup! Not a restaurant for little kids, who can’t wait 1.5 hours for their food! They don’t sit you at their reservation time booked either. Completely disorganized and we were in a room with 4 other families who were losing their cool too! Highly recommend to avoid this disastrous restaurant and save yourself the aggravation.

   Totally disappointed! The worst dining experience ever on Open Table. I made a 7:30 reservation for 7 people. We arrived at 7:20 and were told there was at least a one to one and a half-hour wait, even with our reservation. Management blamed the issue on third-party bookings, like Open Table. They claimed that they aren't told about the daily bookings until the morning of. Our party included 2 children and my wife, who was still recovering from knee replacement surgery. The manager sat us at an empty booth to wait for our table. We ordered some appetizers and water while we waited. Nothing was comped. The manager said that the long waits were normal. His upper management routinely overbooks his Boca Raton location by about 25 to 30%, to offset no-shows, even though this location has never experienced more than 7 to 8% no-shows. The manager was as helpful as he could possibly be, but corporate needs to take a serious look at its booking practices. In addition, the restaurant needs to fix their ventilation system. We all left, reeking from the smell. Everything we wore made an emergency trip to the cleaners the next day. NEVER AGAIN. Rob G.

   Tables were very delayed. I’ve been there the last 3 years, usually they have too few chefs. This year too few tables. Delay was an hour. Why take so many reservations when every Xmas day is a mess? The servers and chef great. But the delays are just unacceptable. I asked for a discount on drinks as we had to wait at bar and they said no. Disappointing.

    Never again. Reservation was at 6 PM. Arrived at 5:55 PM and told they are running behind about 30 minutes because 'corporate' forces them to overbook. At 7 PM when they said there is still a wait, we left. What a waste of time and horrible experience
