   We've been here two times. Both times, there was no wait (we had reservations), the wait staff(Serenity) was amazing, and the food was absolutely incredible. We have tried 4 entrees total and would have all of them again. We have officially named this is our favorite restaurant in the area.

   We had a delicious meal and fantastic service. I can highly recommend the Bee and Butter and in fact have already done so. We will definitely plan to return. By using the Open Table app we were reminded of our upcoming reservation, notified that our reservation was ready and given an opportunity to provide feedback. We had an overall wonderful experience!

   Customer service was excellent and atmosphere was terrific but the Entree of Catfish was not good experience for my wife. Bacon 🥓 was not good enough and food was not hot.

   Place was empty almost at 7:30 on Saturday night. Service was slow, food was mediocre at best.

   Wanted to take wife somewhere special for dinner. Somewhere we hadn't been before . Settled on The Bee and Butter in the Highlander Hotel, top floor, in Radford. More upscale restaurant. It was excellent! Wife had the tortilleni. I had 10 oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes & fried pimento cake. Was great. Prices were a little higher but that was to be expected & well worth it. Itd be nice to dine outside when weather permits. We'll definitely go back

   The red snapper was good but became cold very quickly because the room is cold. Service was excellent. I asked for coffee & baileys but they only had decaffeinated & there was no offer to make regular coffee. My husband ordered a medium rare ribeye but it arrived very rare so he asked to have it cooked longer. It arrived cooked to medium rare but had so much fat & gristle that he sent it back & ordered the red snapper which took so long that I had finished dessert. They said the delay in the fish was because he had sent the ribeye back twice which made no sense. I ordered the eggnog cheesecake which was supposed to have caramel but didn’t but I did not mention it after the delay explanation. Lovely atmosphere & conscientious servers. However, this is out 2nd try here after a terrible 1st experience there. We try to give places a second chance, however, I doubt we will return.

   On your way to the rooftop restaurant, you get to enjoy quite a few pieces of art on the walls of the hotel. Once there, you are greeted with a sleek and modern decor, with some art deco and retro touches here and there. The open kitchen is inviting as you walk by towards your table. The view is very enjoyable, especially during the summer when you can eat outside. Seating is comfortable and not crowded. The only downside to the ambience of the venue is the TVs hung on the walls, opposite the bar. They make the space louder than it should be for a fine dining restaurant, taking away from the overall experience. The service is courteous and prompt, without being pushy. Prices are less than what you would expect for the venue. The dish selection is always changing, allowing regular customers to taste a variety of food while keeping the menu itself pretty modest in size. Sides and desserts are delicious and generous in portion without being wasteful. Overall, this was a great experience every time I've been there. I will always request a table away from the TVs, for a more intimate feel.

   Our server set the tone for the night and was like part of the family by the end of the evening The venue was perfect and the food excellent My sister in law had the wedge with chicken and said it was the best salad she ever had. Everyone’s meal was delicious and we enjoyed the apple cheesecake to finish the night

    Outstanding ambience. Nicely spaced tables. Good menu choices, not expensive. Good food. The server was good but need better training.
