Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. With four distinct dining rooms (one private), two bars, a lounge, and a women’s bathroom complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa, and antique perfume bottles. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course. Chef Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene.

    Our final seating will be for guests looking to join us through the New Year! Seating in our Dining Room will be $250 per person, not including beverages, tax, and gratuity. This will feature a special New Year’s Eve menu that will consist of our greatest hits. There will be a DJ, dancers, a countdown to midnight, and a complimentary champagne toast! All guests joining us for the final seating must be 21+ years of age. All guests attending our final seating must prepay the per person amount. In the event that you need to cancel, we ask that all cancelations be made by Monday, December 23rd in order to receive a full refund. After the 23rd, they are non-refundable. Decreases in party size cannot use remaining minimum towards beverage.

    The facility is amazing. The tables were crammed together we were in everyone’s conversation around us. The food was ok. Not anything amazing. Service was slow after the appetizers.

    We had a great experience at Beauty and Essex! We ordered 8 items for 5 people and had plenty of food. Highlights were apple and kale salad, tomato soup and grilled cheese dumplings, strip steak and mushroom ravioli. Service was fantastic and ambience was fabulous. Expensive but worth it!

    Food was amazing. Really enjoyed our meals. Our waiter Oz, was especially helpful, guiding us through the menu ended up having the strip steak based on his recommendation, which was amazing We shared a few other appetizers, which were equally great Overall amazing experience we walked in We got there two hours early for reservation, and the hostesses were very accommodating Can’t say enough about how beautiful this place is Definitely going back 100%

    We were recommended this restaurant by friends as we are from the UK and we can safely say that we were not disappointed. The wait for our table was fairly short in comparison to the number of people in the restaurant and bar, we were actually seated within five minutes of our reservation time, the staff were amazing and the food was outstanding !

    I would say expectations were high this place was recommended to us visiting and we were quite disappointed. We loved our experience at the downstairs bar and Jose was amazing which is why I gave 3 stars for service; however when we want upstairs everything went downhill fast. First it was freezing where we were with a breeze blowing on our feet the whole dinner experience. Our server appeared to be newer with bringing over a bottle of rose with no craft to keep it cold. We were so excited to get our food and upon delivery we’re underwhelmed. The truffle Mac and cheese was the only dish that was hot, all our food was cold and was not ordered from the raw menu. No one checked on us to see how are food tasted, we were going to the rockettes and asked for our bill just after eating at 8:15 took almost 45 minutes for our bill to be delivered. Overall this experience was a 2/5 with our only highlight being Jose and the ambience of the downstairs bar.
