Marco was an excellent server and the entire team was very attentive and did everything they could to give us an excellent experience. We were a large party but never felt rushed or had to wait long after we put in orders to get our food/drinks. All of the food was truly excellent and I can’t wait to come back, especially for the frutti di mare which has all kinds of perfectly cooked seafood. We also got a special birthday surprised that was really a sight to behold and made my day! The team has only been working together for 10 days but knocked it out of the park, so I can only imagine what it will be like once they’ve had some more time together. I can’t wait to come back!

Food was good but service was slow, especially for dessert. Waited 20 minutes for gelato after other desserts had been brought. And to add insult to injury, they did not comp it.

Low rating not for the employees - they were fine. Food was also good. Management did not have enough staff on to run the restaurant for a Valentine’s Day event. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. 30 minutes til we were approached for drinks. 30 more minutes before we got our drinks. 30 more minutes til we got our appetizer. And an HOUR before we got our entree. We were there for the Valentine’s Day “experience” and there was not enough front or back of house staff to handle all of the people. Very disappointing… especially with such a high price point on the experience. Ridiculously run establishment.

Food was okay but for a $250+ price tag, not even close to worth it. Service was by far the worst I’ve had in my life. Completely uninterested in his tables, waited 1 whole hour for 1 drink, and did not even wait for dessert because the waiter forgot our order 3 times. Ambiance was a bit tacky with valentines day stickers and cheap ballons. Restaurant was clearly overbooked with ability to keep up. Worst experience I’ve had dining out in all my years on Earth. Will NOT be back.

First let me be clear I'm taking into consideration it was valentine's day... But with a prefixed menu there is no reason anyone should be waiting 45 to an hour for anything. The talbe next to me walked out. With that being said My tenderloin was delicious. My drink was good. The lady with the arm tattoo saved this review. I believe she comped my 2 drinks. I may have to go back on a random Friday to see if the wait staff really sucked. An then the musty waiter boy o boy.

Horrible experience. Waited an hour to get our first drink. Food took forever to come out. We went on Valentines day and their was a fixed menu I dont understand why the service was so slow with a fixed menu.

Listen, when I show up for a 3 course prix fixe meal for Valentine’s Day, I’m going to assume that my date and I are going to receive 3 courses, especially when we’re paying $300 for the meal. The food was excellent. BASILE has always had good food (though tonight the cannoli would have benefitted from just having one cannoli that was focused on properly rather than two okay cannolis) However, making me and my date share the dessert and the appetizer while not modifying the price has rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t feel this was good value for what I paid. Please do better.

We had a reservation for Valentine’s evening at 8:15 PM. Upon arrival, we waited 25 minutes outside before reaching the front desk, only to wait another 10 minutes. The dining room was completely full, yet only three tables had food. The limited staff on the floor seemed overwhelmed, and the kitchen was clearly swamped—I counted over 30 tickets backed up, making it obvious they couldn’t keep up with orders. After being seated, we overheard the table next to us complaining that it took 50 minutes just to receive their drinks. We asked for a waiter and had to wait another 30 minutes before someone even acknowledged us, saying they’d be over soon. At that point, we had enough and decided to leave. In all my years of dining out in Boston, I have never seen a restaurant fail so spectacularly, completely ruining what was supposed to be a special evening. They charged $300 for a dining experience, but what we got was an experience we’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons. This restaurant utterly failed its patrons that night—it was unacceptable. We went home hungry rather than waiting two more hours for food.

For the 400 dollar price tag for 2 people im holding this to a high standard than other restaurants. Was not impressed by the food I’ve had far better dinners for a 3rd of the price. Falsely advertised their dessert marketing that its was gold flaked it was not. The appetizer was a salad and a piece of mozzarella cheese.Mixed up our plates and was expecting the ambience to be on par with other high end restaurants it was not. A 50 dollar gratuity fee was already in the price and they still expect more gratuity. Was definitely a money grab for them. Owner was like a salesman for his wine me and my partner aren’t big drinkers and he looked annoyed that he wasn’t getting another 90 dollars for a bottle of wine. Overall would not come back here and definitely not even close to worth the price tag. Owner is BIG AND GREEDY!
