My wife and I came here for our first time after wanting to visit for over a year. We selected the 4 course dining option w/o the wine pairing. We both enjoyed a cocktails before and during dinner service. The drinks were on point for liquor and taste. We enjoyed appetizers of oysters, duck, veal and butternut squash soup. All were amazing flavorful and delicious. For entrees, my wife enjoyed the halibut and I the smoked duck breast. The duck was the best I have ever tasted. We finished the evening with dessert. She selected a cashew/pecan cake and I had the cherry glazed cake with creme fresh and chocolate shavings. Mine was absolutely amazing as the cake is in the shape of an oversized cherry, covered in decadent chocolate and covered in cherry glaze. It looked like an oversized cherry on the plate. It was delicious. Service was the best we had in any restaurant on the Eastern Shore. We will be back.

Exquisite food and very good service. The preparations, flavor profiles and quality of the ingredients are all very high caliber. Portion sizes are a bit on the smaller side thus my rating of only good for value. Perhaps increasing the number of amuse bouche would help to justify the high cost for a three course meal. This is a lovely restaurant that is doing many things well.

Bas Rouge never disappoints. It consistently provides a dining experience that rivals the finest restaurants in New York, at a price that isn't cheap... but is a fraction of what you'd pay for the same experience in the Big Apple. Cuisine, decor and service are all truly exceptional.

It was our first time at Bas Rouge to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends. We had the ultimate pleasure to experience the chefs tasting with the wine pairing. The evening was simply magnificent!

My wife and I ordered the 7-course tasting menu to celebrate our anniversary and it was totally worth it! The menu was intelligent, fresh, and delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly and we really enjoyed our view by the window. We felt right at home and definitely plan to come back!

Bday luncheon at Bas Rouge was outstanding with no detail missed. Our group of four tried many different starters and entrees. Service was crisp, impeccable. THe managers were welcoming and observant. The dining rooms, salon, cocktail bar and front bar are exquisitely decorated, not missing a beat. We will be back. Thank you, Bas Rouge and Paul Prager! Ps. The complimentary carrot cake was unexpected and delightful!
