   A very pleasant family Sunday lunch. The kids meals were great, really generous portions and the puddings totally polished off. We will certainly return.

   What a lovely place for a Sunday dinner. We were driving through to London and found this charming pub with a booking available for 8. They were very accommodating and welcomed us even at their last seating of the night. The food was fantastic, and service was superb.

   1st time we had booked to go out on Boxing Day for meal as we wanted to do something different with the Family, all was good leading up to Boxing Day with reminders and food pre-ordered, arrive and table was ready, the whole experience was a let down, lack of staff, waited for drinks to be ordered, then waited nearly an hour before starters arrived, then another hour before main course arrived, steak was charred on outside but cooked medium (no steak knife provided to cut), festive burgers were like carpet! In the end a few of the family had to leave before dessert came out due to time already spent at the restaurant and other commitments, although the drinks were deducted from the bill (not that many as we were all driving) as they acknowledged that the service was poor it still didn’t make up for the Family Dinner out which wasn’t cheap!

   Lovely Christmas lunch. Clean plates all round as a testament to the chef. Excellent service with a smile even though it was busy.

   Excellent food, however we noted after reviewing the menu at home that we had food missing. The Christmas Day meal should have included stuffing and pork, we noted this was missing but only after we were home. The food was well presented and of good standard. The service was quick. But no quality control check for food delivered or explanation that food may have been short of supply. The pub is small and cosy, but it did feel a little cramped.
