   One of the best experiences we have had! Food was wonderful, service was impeccable, and the space is gorgeous and very welcoming. We look forward to going back!

   The tasting was a good experience. Very interesting flavors and textures but could be more refined. Portions were very generous (they included 2 amuse bouches at the beginning and 2 extra desserts at the end!) and service very attentive. Rockfish crudo was fantastic-light but complex in flavors, crab and onion dish was very savory, almost too salty but great textures. Duck and wagyu both had great flavor but quite chewy, making it less decadent. The panacotta was a little too dense and we weren’t a huge fan of the greens and peas in it. However, the pomegranate granita with pistaccio ice cream was amazing! With a little tweaking, the tasting menu could really shine. The chef was so personable and creative.

   Chef Christian has curated an amazing menu and all out experience there in downtown Houston. Each dish from the tasting menu was amazing and it was the perfect amount of food. Definitely did not leave hungry. Crab with sabayon and roe was ridiculous as was the panang turnips. Duck was perfect. Denver was delicious. And the desserts were the perfect ending. But not only is the food on point, the service was impressive as well. Barbacana is a must.

   We ordered a few items our night at Barbacana. An entree, off the a la carte menu - a grilled fish dish atop a garlic puree had a “monochromal” flavor palette. Service was friendly, yet tense. Overall, the entire meal was good, not great. We were surprised with a dessert sent from the kitchen. The dessert was the most exciting dish of the night.

   We love Barbacana !!! Such a great spot in downtown and we need more restaurants like this in the heart of h town ! The food is outstanding and the chef is so generous ! The service is spotless.

   Everything was excellent, the tasting experience was well worth it and played with my palette delightfully. Would definitely recommend, I would even come back just to eat desserts! Can’t wait to come back.

   Food was excellent, wine list affordable, service attentive—great place for an anniversary dinner! Marked it down a star for ambiance because it needs more diners to feel lively. I hope it catches on and survives, because it was exceptional. Sunchokes were an excellent side; we had pork collar and vermilion snapper as mains, and started with crab tart and madam crudo.

   While their menu is not extensive and rather limited as well as not exactly same as what's published online, their dishes are very unique tasty. Our server had an excellent customer service and accommodated my highly customized order. We have a very high standard on our dining experience, and I am very critical on on reviews, but we were super satisfied.

    This was our second time dining at Barbacana, and we had an excellent time. We tried the tasting menu despite some allergies in the party and the kitchen graciously accommodated them. Service was excellent, food was delicious, would recommend it!
