   This is the 2nd time i’ve been here and i have to say the food is okay. The kitchen is very slow to bring out the food. It took 1/2 an hour to get our Charcuterie board and when we ordered dinner 3 out of the 4 of us got our food. They did comp the last meal for the delay. Food is a bit salty. It is a new restaurant so if they could iron out the kinks in the kitchen and improve the food a bit it would be a good restaurant. The wait staff was great.

   We were excited to learn of the Sunday brunch option available as we greatly enjoyed dinner here a few months ago. Unfortunately, service was extremely slow (not crowded), and when we finally received our drinks and much later, our food, it was underwhelming. My Gouda grits with Shrimp was served cold, the 3 shrimp on top were overcooked- rubbery- & required some work to cut with my butter knife. My husband ordered pork hash, which had separate components placed in a bowl. Not “hash” and not great. He reported the pork had a “very strong liquid smoke flavor.” It was an unfortunate experience

   Went for Sunday brunch with a friend, we arrived right when they opened. The waitstaff were all very friendly. Waited 45 minutes for our food. That seemed a bit long for what we ordered and also the fact that it wasn’t busy. There were only 4 tables of 2-4 people. We ordered : Brekky Sliders: 3 rolls with bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese & jam for $18.00 Bread Pudding French Toast: 3 bite size cubes $18.00 Both items came out cold. Not sure if that was intentional or if it was sitting out for awhile. They were both tasty, but would of been better warm.

   Had a dinner reservation for 5:15 but after seated was told dinner didn’t start until 6:00. Several drunk choices were not available. Food was not great.

   There is no place like Banyans, the ambiance stance along with the feeling of eating outdoors under a tree, listening to live music, some fancy cocktails and delicious food!

   We were greeted upon arrival and a waiter told us the specials and brought us drinks. The cocktails were excellent but he wasn’t prepared to discuss the skimpy wine list. We ordered, but when food arrived we found it not plentiful. Salad was overdressed. Shrimp tacos (3 4” tacos) had 1/2 shrimp total. The octopus taco, altho serving was tiny, were delicious, however the person who ordered them got a stomach upset. Desserts were excellent. Bill was higher than the quantity of food warranted. Nice place. Too expensive for tiny servings. In the future I’ll stick to Kalapawai and Baci for food and wine, Buzz’ for cocktails, and bottlehead for girls night out.

   Food was very good. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but we enjoyed ourselves. Music started at 11 am, place started to get busy. Chef Cidney came by and said hello. Highly recommend giving it a try, won’t be disappointed. Excited to try dinner. Much needed in Kailua.

   The atmosphere and decor are wonderful and the menu looks very intentional. The waitstaff was lovely and I really wanted to enjoy my dinner reservation. Between my friend and, I all of the food we ordered was quick to come out of the kitchen but cold. I wouldn’t say the Patatas Bravas was bad…they were just cold and the seasonings that were mixed in didn’t make sense. I don’t think we finished it. The pot pie had a lot of potential but lacked flavor and savoriness, the pastry was a cold (bordering stale) puff that wasn’t integrated into the meal. Overall the menu had great ideas but execution was poor. Value- if execution was better the prices would make sense. Instead I left hungry and felt like I overspent. I love live music and was looking forward to it, unfortunately the speaker was way too loud for the room to handle. The waitstaff and guests couldnt hear each other and it disturbed the the beautiful ambiance of the lighting and decor. Overall- I was disappointed but there was ton of potential and I plan to come back and give it another try in the future

   We had a fun celebration dinner at Banyans and the ambience was lovely, service was great and prompt, and there was live music that all created a perfect vibe!

    Great atmosphere, staff and food was top notch I went for the soft opening of their brunch menu only so I can’t wait to go and try their dinner menu
