Bamboo-Mat is a Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant based in Leyton serving fresh sushi, nikkei sharing plates and cocktails. Run by chef Victor Rosca formerly of Sushisamba,Roka and Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsey and his business partner Denis Gobjila ex of Chotto Matte. Bamboo Mat brings together their combined years of experience with a fresh perspective on Nikkei cuisine. Bamboo-Mat adds another food dimension to the already vibrant culture that is emerging in this part of London.

We had a wonderful evening trying Bamboo Mat's exciting pre-set Christmas menu. It was bursting with delicious and fresh flavours and made such a change from all the Turkey this time of year!

Unbelievable food sushi was fresh and so tasty. I can’t believe we have a central London restaurant quality food in our neighbourhood. Hooray !!!

Delicious food - had the tasting menu and everything we tried was fantastic. The owners clearly take pride in what they serve and were very knowledgeable about ingredients of the dishes. Great value too. We’ll be back soon.
