Silk Road Romanticism. Bambola is an Italian restaurant that embarks on a journey along the Silk Road in search of new flavors to complement our favorite dishes and drinks from Italy.

Traveling along the Silk Road, Bambola’s executive chef Marcos Campos interprets iconic dishes from Italy to China, evoking nostalgia with a contemporary approach. From their wood-fired kitchen, Bambola’s culinary team combines the finest ingredients with an exclusive selection of aged beef, artisanal pastas, mezze and Turkish spices, creating a unique culinary experience.

Led by industry vanguard Brian Sturgulewski, Bambola’s bar celebrates modern beverages inspired by timeless ingredients from the historic Silk Road. Inspired by the amalgamation of cultures along the trade routes, our creative craft cocktails combine local drinking traditions, global spirits, complementary spices and ingredients.

    I’m sad to say Bambola’s service was horrible. We had a reservation Saturday February the 15th for a birthday celebration from states away, but unfortunately our experience was very upsetting. Upon arrival the hostess was extremely rude, making faces and rolling her eyes, and definitely not welcoming, friendly, or even cordial. As a large group of servers and bartenders, we were very disappointed and shocked by the treatment we received. Not worth it for the attitude and treatment alone, let alone the prices.

    host was flirting with my boyfriend when i was parking the car for us, he told me he was uncomfortable. one of our entrees had no flavor, the gnocchi pasta.

    Stepping inside Bambola restaurant feels like stepping into a fairytale world - beautiful Moorish details and amazing ambiance, oh and the food is absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff. We can’t wait to go back!

    First and only complaint,...Although having a reservation, our party of 3 was still seated really close to the kitchen. The restaurant management made up for the snafu by offering glasses of wine. Our waitress was fabulous! Although new to the restaurant, she was very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job making sure our food was free of the allergens we noted. She also made sure we actually remembered to celebrate our honoree! The entree was full of flavors that paired well with our chosen 1st courses. The restaurant is also truly beautiful. Really a Great evening.

    I think the restaurant week menu was lacking in good choices. The only items I ate were the starters the two salads. The kebab was dry over seasoned, my guy’s starter was over seasoned with sumac - the dates were just ok. He had a rigatoni dish that was overly spicy and not good. Service was great, ambiance good. I’ll go back and try again.

    Food was good, ambiance was wonderful but service was below average for a nice restaurant like this. Our main dishes arrived at different times. Sever didn't have silverware in the table. We waited over 5 mins to have silverware. Then h just brought forks. He was not rude but Overall he was not attentive at all. The restaurant wasn't busy either.

    Everything was amazing as usual. Went there on restaurant week and i had never done that before. Ive been here on non restaurant week days and i love this place. Food wise its the best restaurant in Chicago imo.
