    Food was properly prepared, of excellent quality, and nicely presented. Service was excellent even on a somewhat busy evening. The ambience of dining under the giant dome in this totally restored historic hotel CANNOT be overstated. Totally satisfied with our experience at Ballards and stay at the West Baden Hotel.

    The entrance to the hostess stand was misleading and not well marked. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent as well. The wait staff patiently took our pictures. We always love the snack mix at this restaurant. We appreciate that the management continues to provide the snack mix at the tables. It keeps us coming back. And of course, the atmosphere and ambience are unparalleled. Nowhere else in the world can you experience a location like you can while dining at this restaurant in the atrium.

    Disappointed that we requested a chair to be removed on advance for a wheelchair guest and that didn't happen. Nor was a birthday mentioned.

    We eat at Ballard's everytime we are at French Lick. Beautiful. Fantastic food. Great service.

    Service was not great. Tables were having a hard time getting their food and appetizers. Drinks were slow. Wait staff seemed in a bad mood in general. Food was ok. Not really as hot as it should be. The ambiance of eating under the dome was great. In general, just a mediocre experience.

    Over priced for okay food. Nothing special about the food. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip that was not good. It was ALL spinach. No cheese or sauce, very few artichoke hearts. Inedible. I had the salmon and it was just okay. My husband had the lobster roll which he said was good. We each had two cocktails which cost about $20 each! Bill was almost $200! Beautiful inside and under the amazing dome!

    Breathtaking view and the lighting in the entire lobby and dome absolutely perfect. Food was great and wine delicious.
