   I would have gladly rated this restaurant 5 stars because the food and service were excellent. However, the overall dining experience was negatively impacted by what appeared to be a shortsighted management strategy focused on rapid table turnover. While this approach may provide short-term gains, it risks alienating customers and compromising long-term success. From the moment we arrived, my entire party felt rushed. Despite informing the staff that we were waiting for other members of our group to join, we were repeatedly asked if we needed drinks. Once we placed our orders, appetizers and entrees arrived at our table within minutes, raising concerns that the food may have been pre-prepared. This suspicion was further confirmed when my redfish was served barely warm. The most unacceptable part of the experience was when the check was brought to our table before we had requested it. This gave the impression that we were being hurried out to make room for the next customers. Such practices are not appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber, as it diminishes the dining experience and undermines customer satisfaction. If management’s goal is to rush guests, it will ultimately drive patrons elsewhere. A fine dining establishment should prioritize creating a welcoming and leisurely atmosphere, not one that mirrors a fast-food chain. Without adjustments to this approach, we are unlikely to return or recommend the restaurant to others.

   Slow, unhelpful service. Drinks took a very long time and the server was unable to answer simple questions about the menu. Food was good.

   Another great meal at Balboa! I love the relaxed sophistication of BSC. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the food is consistently amazing, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s always a hit!

    Another great evening at the bustling Galleria area Balboa Surf Club. An enjoyable dining experience was ensured by the attention from our Server, Sage. Our group, including several first-time Balboa visitors, tried...and loved, various appetizers with each then ordering separate main-fare choices. Each dinner was rated as outstanding. We also enjoyed a nice Balboa related discussion with a Manager "checking on our table" while she was assisting Servers.
