   (From Quality Italian owners) Heard great things about this place and it definitely lived up to the hype. Really happening and busy for a Monday, good people watching, food was amazing, staff was great. We ate at the bar and started with roasted garlic babka! (Don’t miss that) then had branzino. Amazing.    Really lovely wait staff. He was so attentive to all 7 of us. Our friends were visiting from overseas and were impressed. The food was delicious and we look forward to returning again soon.

   Bad Roman…I would call my experience not too bad (Roman). The first impression was busy Applebees front guest stand…no coat check…they need to upgrade that (if they want to be thought of as a nice restaurant). Food was pretty good (not great). Reasonably priced. Ambiance…they gave us a great table with a great view of Columbus Circle…but overall vibe was mid-scale. Our server was very good but they botched my wife’s order so she got to watch us eat and we got to then watch her eat (a deal breaker for a nice restaurant). If you want to eat in an above average mall restaurant, you have come to the right place…but plenty of better NYC Italian options in my opinion.

   Bad Roman is a vibe. Food is great- faves were meatballs, short rib pasta and Caesar to share to start. Teen Daughter found tuna tartare app too salty to eat. The filet with ravioli was delicious! My veal Milanese was a little peppery for me. Desserts amazing! Chocolate cake so dish and yummy with ice cream, but the best was the tiramisu ice cream cake, and I don’t even love tiramisu! (Didn’t get special lemon dessert just bc we don’t like cheesecake). Our waiter was AMAZING!! Very honest and responsive. He was definitely overworked with a very crowded restaurant. The only bummer is that if your group is more than 4, you are put in the back party room area. This section does not have quite the same decor and fabulousness as the main part of the restaurant. And it has terrible acoustics so it was VERY loud and hard to hear across a round table for 6. But we were thrilled to get the resy. Manager also came by and was quite nice and charming. Fun night.

    Service was incredible and attentive. Food was great from first appetizer all the way to the complementary dessert they gave us for the birthday boy.
