   Such a gem, we stayed in Nob Hill and wanted somewhere close to walk to. Back to Back ended up making our entire trip. The kale and kohlrabi salad, the potatoes and wood fired pizza were amazing

   This was my second time dining at Back to Back because I loved it so much the first time—and once again, it did not disappoint. The bread, arancini, and Brussels sprouts were all delicious, and the pizzas were absolutely phenomenal. (We went all in and ordered the Snob Hill, Salsiccia, Burnt Leek, and Hot Honey—every one was a hit.) Our server was warm and accommodating, and the timing of each dish was spot-on. I also really love the ambiance here—it has that cozy, vibrant energy that reminds me of a great spot in NYC. Back to Back is easily one of my favorite places to eat, and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.

   Came here with a group of 6. We ordered food and drinks in a few different rounds. As we were sharing pizzas and chatting, all of a sudden a to-go box showed up and our remaining pizza was literally boxed up right in front of us without asking and the server simultaneously asked if we wanted dessert while dropping the check. We were shocked to learn that our table was almost up and we needed to leave. At no point were we told that there was a time limit associated with our table. We had only been there just over 90 minutes, spending over $500. We were even still waiting on another glass to share the bottle of wine we hadn’t finished yet. We were eventually told we had a half hour before we had to leave but the server had already boxed up our remaining pizza and dropped the check. Everyone in the group really enjoyed the food and the ambiance but we all left with a bit of a sour taste in our mouths based on the inexplicably abrupt service. And even though the food was very good, I would have a tough time recommending this restaurant to others based on this experience.

   Dear Emily, We are so sorry for your poor experience dining with us. There must have been a miscommunication with the team and it is never our intention to rush our guests out. We deeply regret how this was handled with your table. Typically, if guests want to stay longer, we do our best to accommodate them and we're very sorry that this was not the case. We do, however, state upon booking reservations that we allow 2 hours for parties of 4-6 on busy nights and I do see that you were seated for 2h18. However, this should have also been communicated again with you during your visit. We hope that you decide to dine with us again and we promise we will make it right with you.

   We love the whole package of food, location, ambiance, vibe! After eating here a few times, I'm looking forward to a fresh spring menu, though everything we've had has been delicious. Highly recommend the burrata appetizer, every one of the salads, and the seared fish. Fabulous!

   We loved this place! Were attending a concert at the Masonic, and it was a nice walk! Very charming place with great atmosphere. We had the shishito peppers and two delicious pizzas (Nob Hill and Hot Honey). Bothe were very tasty! Our entire party commented on how much they liked this wonderful gem!

    Amazing food, flavors blended really well together and wine selection was excellent. Staff were also very friendly and helpful
