   A wonderful neighborhood gem, family run restaurant with excellent service and food. The halibut special for Valentine's Day weekend was extraordinary. You can always fine fresh dishes and great wine recommendations at Bacaro!

   We go to Bacaro fairly often. It has a wonderful atmosphere, great food and a very friendly staff. The food options cater to almost anyone’s interest - seafood, steak, chicken or vegetarian. The also have a unique and interesting wine selection with many you can’t find anywhere else and the owner, Bill, is always glad to share his experience and knowledge to help us find something new to try. Highly recommended!

   The ambience is great, whether you want a quiet date night or a girl's night out. The lasagna is 5 star. I do wish a salad came with the entre rather than a separate charge. Service was 3 star, adequate. Overall, I would return and would recommend.

   This was our first visit to Bacarro. The food was super satisfying. Just the right flavors tenderness portions. We had appetizers large means salads, bread, and desserts and enjoyed every bite. The service was very appropriate and attentive and friendly without being intrusive at all. When you go ask to sit with Monserrat, you will love her smile.

   Nice neighborhood, family-owned Italian restaurant, not fancy but very comfortable. Service was outstanding by a very knowledgeable young lady acting with extreme professionalism. We started with the Crispy Polenta Chips for an appetizer; they were cooked perfectly light crispy exterior with a smooth cream inside. Our table had four entrees: 1) Eggplant al Forno - 4 breaded slices of eggplant with a side of Capellini with a light tomato sauce. Rate 4/5. 2) Spaghetti Carbonara - Appeared to be Pancetta rather than Guanciale, but still very good. Sauce could use some work. Rate 3.5/5. 3) Crab Cake (special off menu) - Two crab cakes served with Risotto and veggies. Rate 5/5. 4) Pappardelle Bolognese - Typical Bolognese, the other guest thought it was one of the best he'd had. Rate 5/5. Portions were large, leaving plenty for lunch the next day. The bread was excellent!!

    My husband and I had a very solid experience here. There was a special, fixed- price, 3- course NYE menu with complimentary bubbly. Ashley was a very attentive waitress. Bill, the owner, came and visited each table to see how everything was. The food was very good. I wanted my burrata to be a little runnier and the use of endive rather than romaine leaves used. The lobster bisque, though good, had a very different flavor. Rather than sherry- forward, it had a fishiness from either fish sauce or maybe anchovy paste? It had an asian flavor profile. The filet and 2 lobster tail surf and turf was cooked perfectly. My lamp chops were very tender, a tad past medium- rare, but tasty. The asparagus and broccoli were cooked well. The roasted potatoes could have benefitted from salt/ pepper, maybe some olive oil and rosemary tossed with them? There was no salt or pepper offered on the table. Dessert was very good with a rich chocolate mousse cake and an excellent salted caramel creme brulee. The pinot grigio, while very good, was steep at $22 a glass when the bottle lists for $16 at Total wine. My Duhn Cab Sav paired well with the chocolate. Overall it was very good and we will return to try the full menu. May be good for work lunches for a group too ( available Thursdays and Fridays).
