Bab-Al-Yemen is not only a restaurant where you could find authentic Yemeni cuisine, but it is a unique experience designed to serve as a hub of Yemeni culture in the city of Boston. Named after a well-known historical landmark of Yemen, Bab-Al-Yemen serves dishes cooked in accordance with traditional Yemeni recipes using high quality ingredients.

                                                                        Noise level in the downstairs portion of the restaurant was very high, and at times it was difficult to carry on a conversation across the table. Service was great and the food is very good. Want to go back to try the traditional seating area - maybe this will provide a less noisy dining environment.

                                                                        Amazing food! So fresh and full of flavor! Lamb was tender and falling off the bone. Rice was fragrant and smoky. Caramelized onions gave it a great sweet flavor while their spicy sauce gave it just the right amount of heat! Wow! I will be coming back!

For a change here is a Boston restaurant where I could hear my lunch companion talk without either of us having to shout! The music could have been at a little lower volume, but still manageable. I would come again

The music was loud and kept going crackly like whoever was connected to the Bluetooth speaker kept going out of arrange. Beyond distracting and ruined the ambiance. Dishes were served with just way too much rice. Variety on menu is limited. Disappointed.

                                                                        There was 3 of us to celebrate my friend's Bday. Waitress was able to help us order our main entree's since this was our first time there. We started out with the hummus and freshly made pita which was very good. Our entree portions had a lot of well cooked Basmati rice and the lamb was flavorful and tender. Would have been nice to have some sauce on the side for the meat and vegetables to accompany the meal. Overall, would come back to try other items on the menu.

                                                                        This restaurant is a gem! The staff is attentive and kind. We had never eaten here and weren’t sure what to get and they told us what would be best and it did not disappoint! I plan to return with friends
