We were happy to be able to get here for their last day. Axels has always been a go to for us to celebrate special occasions. So sad they decided to close. This location is a hidden gem along the river.

This was the last hoorah for Axels. They will be closing after 30+ years. It was bitter sweet and the food and drink did not disappoint. I hope they compensate their staff well.

Terrible food was cold and due to the fact there was only one cook in the kitchen. Poor judgment on Management behalf they should have just closed the restaurant.

We love Axels in Mendota and are SO bummed that it is closing. In the 10 years I have lived in this area I have eaten there dozens of times! We will really miss it!
