   The Audubon Clubhouse is perhaps off the beaten path, but it has become a first-class dining destination since Dickie Brennan’s organization took the helm. It’s not super fancy, nor is the menu particularly cutting edge, but the kitchen knows what it is doing— everything is perfectly cooked and presented. Service is generally excellent, but our server asked if she could “get this out of your way” when our plates were virtually empty and had upside down forks on them. That’s a phrase that never belongs in a restaurant of this caliber. The setting, overlooking the live oaks on the golf course, is beautiful and tranquil, especially when it’s warm enough to dine on the porch.

   Over priced steak , menu said new strip. Bill said prime strip. Charged is $65.00. Which was grossly overpriced for a piece of New York strip.

   It was 1:00 and they were not busy. My companion and I ordered. A good bit later they came back and said the didn’t have what he ordered. Alternative was ordered. After a few minutes they came back again and said they didn’t have his second choice, finally ordered a hamburger out of frustration. When the food came it was fine, not spectacular but fine. We finished and a dessert was ordered to share. After several minutes waitress came to the table and apologized but they didn’t have what we had ordered so that was changed to ice cream. All of this stretched out lunch considerably. They did apparently give so an extra scoop of ice cream as was pointed out by the waitress but no other compensation was offered nor asked for. It is such a delightful spot in Audubon Park for lunch so I probably will return, but I certainly hope they get their act together better.

   Shame there weren’t more stars for ambiance. Great view of the golf course. Good food and service.

   Delicious food: tuna quinoa arugula all wonderful! We sat on the veranda & had a great time.

   Service was extremely slow. Our food took over an hour to come out and when it did it was super cold like it was sitting out for a long time.

   Very poor service, horrible server, improved a bit once other staff notice and stepped in to help.

    I recommend Audubon Clubhouse for lunch, was seated immediately. Our server was Elliot and he was awesome. I will request him for all future visits. My guest and I were served Fried Oysters Rockefeller, Fried Deviled Eggs, 1898 Club Sandwich CrabCakes & Frites, Clubhouse Burger and Sweet Potato Doberge Cake. The Arnold Palmer beverage was the best I ever had. I recommend you taking a chance to visit I promise you want be disappointed. The ambiance was such we stayed longer than we planned.
