Just not what we planned, food was meh. My husbands steak was delicious. My potato dish was bland, soups very salty, especially the lobster bisque. The waitress was frazzled, the service was crazy slow. Probably won’t be back.

Cute place. Service was good but the food was just okay. It felt expensive for what I got. It was a price fix menu for Valentine’s Day that we were not aware of. Info wasn’t on the website. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to know as I may have reserved somewhere else. The first two courses were good - charcuterie board appetizer followed by French onion soup. Chilean sea bass as the main was decent but the potatoes that came with it were flavorless. Our party had several of the desserts on the menu - the crème brulee was good but the apple tart was flavorless and we did not eat it.

Food was great. Service was not great. They were clearly extra servers hired for Valentines weekend. Their inexperience was apparent. Polite but slow to check back on us, and slow to refill, slow to collect/process my bill despite our food packed up and glasses empty.

We were in town for mini Valentine’s Day get away, with dinner at a restaurant we had frequented before. We were elated to find a French restaurant open for breakfast the next morning at 8am (will come back for dinner.) Had seen prior warnings and some complaints about shortness of staff, so we went with ample time in case it was an issue. It wasn’t an issue at all, but maybe we had set our own sights on slowing down? Server was more than accommodating, placing us by the fireplace (bonus when getting there at opening) and was available for us despite having all of the tables. My wife was very happy with her omelette leek, potato, goat cheese. I had Soupe a l’Oignon and Sandwiche Lyonnaise. I had read reviews suggesting more salt for the French onion soup, but I was happy it wasn’t too salty. Would order again. Sandwich combined lightly toasted bread that stood up to the thick cut bacon, eggs, tomato and fresh green. More than worth the price. Already bragged about Auberge to friends and family, so we definitely will be making a trip back for at least giving dinner a try.

Service was very slow. We waited an hour after we ordered to get drinks. Server was very nice, but clearly over worked and restaurant under-staffed. Food was ok. Steaks were not cooked as ordered and were over done. This was on Valentine’s Day and was a set menu. Hopefully others have a better experience on a normal night.

I really wanted to like this place. My wife and I went for an early Valentine's Day dinner. The vibe inside was pretty good, and the devilled eggs and beet salad we ordered for starters were killer, so we were off to a good start. But it went downhill from there. I ordered the cassoulet and my wife got the filet. Both dishes lacked even the tiniest hint of salt (as did the escargot we also got as an app). The cassoulet was just not very good, but was not helped by the fact that it was not cooked all the way. It was cold in the middle and the breadcrumb layer on top was wet instead of crisp, although it looked like there had been an attempt to quickly finish it with a torch. It seemed that the kitchen hurried that dish because they had finished the steak dish too soon, since everything on my wife's plate was cold. Somehow, the fois gras served on top of her steak was completely raw as well, seeming to have only been kissed by the torch. We were disappointed, but ordered dessert anyway. We got the chocolate mousse, which I was excited about. It had a good flavor, but a very chalky texture. As soon as it came to the table, I could see that it looked strange and that was confirmed when I tasted it. I'm not sure if it had split and been sieved or what, but it was not the texture one looks for in a mousse. On top of all that, the service wasn't great. The server was nice enough, but just wasn't that attentive.
