                                      Quiet and intimate atmosphere and a peaceful and slow surrounding neighborhood. Everyone was friendly and insightful and the food was amazing. Lowcountry Shrimp and grits 10/10 Waffle Du Jour 8/10 (super sweet but I know some folks go for that so may be 10/10 for you!)

                                      Larry jaffe here, foodie in Sarasota , WISHING WE HAD A RESTAURANT SO GRACIOS AS ATCHAFAYLA HERE! It’s one great dinning experience ! My 2nd visit, the menu is a gem, very thoughtfully laid out( oh the little corn muffins will get your attn !!) The waitstaff is just like the restaurant , very helpful and tuned in! “ they make you feel wanted” gotta love it! The smallish bar up front , for a bourbon guy like me, is like being in heaven! What’s NOT TO LIKE! Trust me , I know from what I speak! Best to all larry jaffe ( YUMMMM)

                                      We had a wonderful brunch. We were seated right away despite being early. The hand made cocktails were delicious and original as well as a nice selection of mocktails. The food was very innovative amd sublime. I had the red beans and rice and my husband had the duck hash. We both felt one of the best meals we have ever had. Our complements to the chef. We will be back

                                      Although there are some many great restaurants in NOLA, Atchafalaya should be on the top of your list for upscale refined Cajun cuisine. Located in a luxurious rustic cottage set just off the beaten path and away from the tourists, Atchafalaya is a hidden gem. The fried green tomatoes and the shrimp and grits are best I’ve ever had. The fish specials were spectacular and the flat iron steak was perfectly cooked with mouthwatering flavor. The pineapple bourbon old fashioned was a perfect cocktail to accompany this meal. Our food was served by wonderfully attentive waitstaff with southern swagger and a smile. We can’t wait to return!
