   Great food Ordered veal schnitzel but chicken arrived ( no chicken schnitzel on menu. Disappointed that not told when ordered Homemade dim sims best we have eaten Steak Tuesday special very order and cooked as ordered Wine and drinks very good We had to ask for water refills

   Having regularly dined at the AVH for over 2 years, it seems a change of ownership may have impacted our overall experience. The dining room seemed less organised and the staff may have having churned a bit. Overall the AVH will remain our favourite local pub for a meal and weeknight out of the house. Our meals were excellent and the manager accommodated us professionally. Let’s see how the next few months go.

   Had a wonderful lunch with my wife today, Friday 24th January. Young lady barmaid/waitress was fabulous in getting our drinks and food order. Meals were excellent and came in a very timely manner.

    First time back for a while & all 3 of us took advantage of the Friday specials. The usual level of attentive service, and when we clearly weren't drinking more we were left alone. Overall, up to the usual high standard all around.
