   On New Year's Eve, my friends and I made a reservation and were thinking about having a nice time.. The music was only Mexican, the New Year's countdown was only in Spanish, None of the music was in English. It was not taken into account that there were guests in the restaurant who were not Spanish speakers. This would be understandable if the restaurant was Mexican. But it is not. My guests and I were disappointed.☹️

   Ate here for the NYE celebration. It was terrible for the following reasons: 1. Unacceptable Wait Time: Despite having a reservation and there being no other parties waiting, we were inexplicably left standing for 20 minutes before being seated. This immediately set a poor tone for the evening. 2. Seating Issues: The waiter initially seated us directly in front of the live band, where the music was so loud we could barely hear one another. We requested to move, only to be placed in a booth in the back where the sound was still excessively loud and equally disruptive. 3. Disturbing Behavior Nearby: Adding to our discomfort, the couple adjacent to us was engaging in overtly inappropriate behavior—side-sitting, making out, and "necking" each other throughout the evening. My partner, unfortunately, had a direct line of sight to this and was extremely uncomfortable, as was I given their proximity. This is not behavior one expects in a "fine dining" establishment, and it was appalling that no staff addressed it. 4. Incompetent Service: It took an additional 20-30 minutes just to get drink orders. Despite following up with the waitstaff multiple times, our drinks never arrived until after we were served dessert. By that point, we were too fed up to even care. 5. Overpriced and Underwhelming Food: The $150 price tag for a three-course meal felt like a complete ripoff. Two empanadas, a ribeye, and a minuscule chocolate lava cake? Running those items against their regular menu prices shows a massive upcharge of $70-$80 for what was essentially the same food. This is simply unacceptable. 6. Overall Experience: Between the poor service, the inappropriate behavior of other guests, the excessively loud music, and the inflated cost, we left immediately after dessert, thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. Therestaurant wasn’t even full—several open tables were visible—yet you were clearly understaffed and struggling to manage the evening.

   I get that it was Christmas and I really empathize with how tough it can be to work on a holiday but the service wasn’t great. Everyone seemed kind of miserable, and while I understand that, I still expected a better experience. I chose Artango because the menu looked great but by 6 PM, they were already out of lamb, which was super disappointing, especially since we had reservations and others did too. I feel like better planning could’ve avoided that. The appetizers were okay, the entrees were good, but the dessert didn’t really deliver. To be honest I believe in tipping for good service, but when it felt like we weren’t being attended to or worse like we were a bother it made me question leaving 20%. I didn’t even know my servers name. Unfortunately I didn’t feel like the service justified it if there had been an option. Would definitely go elsewhere next time.

   Went on Christmas Day and there was a set menu. Food was decent but over priced for what it was. We were sat by the stage and the music was very loud - and could have been enjoyable if the volume on the microphone was turned down. Our party of 6 had a hard time having a conversation. Service was good.

   Lovely restaurant. Went for the set Christmas Day menu. They did not have one of the 4 options (the lamb) which was a bit of a disappointment. Then when choosing beer from the printed beer menu… the one we chose was also not available. Just something to keep in mind. Overall nice place and good ambiance.

    Our Christmas dinner was very good, specifically one of the empanadas appetizers, with its unexpected, creamy blue cheese filling. The lobster hollandaise sauce beneath the grilled salmon entree was particularly elegant and comforting. One of the major highlights of the evening was the lovely music provided by Brazilian singer and guitarist Luciano Antonio, who sang a variety of holiday and classic standard songs,,,Brazilian, Spanish and American. His gentle, sensitive baritone voice lent a wistful and contemplative air to the evening. A lovely way to celebrate Christmas.
