Our kitchen serves simple, honest food that reflects a devotion to quality and responsibility made possible by partnerships with like-minded farmers, artisans and growers who provide products that are sustainably sourced, whenever possible.

Art and Soul exudes true warmth and hospitality. Playful regional elements such as hand-painted farm signs and traditional folk art are also used throughout the space in honor of the D.C. restaurants regional influences. Disappointing. The good: the tea itself (Queen’s choice) was great. The tomato on crostini was excellent. Service was attentive and excellent. The bad: the deviled egg/potato salad on…. Sweet shortbread. Stale red velvet cupcakes, stale éclairs. Overall, definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend, wouldn’t not return.

Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented dishes, with something for all tastes. Nice cocktail selection. Sleek decor, and the tables were spaced so that you can have a private conversation without hearing everyone else's business. There is an outdoor patio, weather permitting. The servers and hosts are really helpful and nice. The prices are reasonable for DC. I happened onto Art and Soul when I was searching OpenTable for a place convenient to Union Station--I had a train to catch--but it will definitely be a deliberate destination in the future.

They ran out of the lemon-blueberry pancake mix and served us plain pancakes without notifying us. They took them back…that was the only issue.

I made a 5:30 reservation. After being seated I asked for a particular beer on tap I was told they were out I asked for another beer they came back and said they were out. I settled on a third beer. When it came to ordering dinner I was told they were out of what I chose which was a fish dish. I would not recommend eating at this establishment because you will not get anything from the menu.

We had a perfect brunch after doing the ALS Walk. The food was delicious, especially the gazpacho with cucumber ice. The service was delightful and they took extra measures to make our golden feel comfortable outside. We will be back!
