   The dining experience was exceptional, with the food surpassing our expectations and the drinks proving to be delightful. While the service was satisfactory, it complemented our overall experience well. My fiancé and I feel a strong inclination to make this specific location, Kahala, our regular choice for dining. I highly recommend arriving early, as the atmosphere is serene and tranquil before the evening bustle begins. An arrival around 5:00 or 5:30 PM is ideal for those seeking a more relaxed vibe. The carbonara is something to write home about. Enjoy!!

   Service was phenomenal and the food was nothing short of amazing! We went to Arancino because Hoku’s was closed - and we’re incredibly pleased with the entire experience. The friendliness of the entire staff and quality of dishes will be tough to match! A must stop while in Honolulu!!

   The world food tour duo made their third visit to Arancino at The Kahala on a beautiful Saturday evening. The restaurant was packed with diners; so nice to see. We started with a bottle of 2017 Altesino Brunello di Montalcino; a Sangiovese from Tuscany; deep ruby red, with hints of tobacco, earthy and smoky, with hints of cherry and raspberry. Our appetizers were the Carpaccio di Manzo; thin slices of Wagyu, arugula, fresh slices of Parmigiano Reggiano, and a hint of lemon dressing, and Arancini con Fegato e Tartufo, a fried croquette made of risotto, foie gras, truffles and a Parmigiano Reggiano sauce. The latter dish reminded us of a deep fried musubi. Our entrees were the Spaghetti ai Ricci di Mare and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, our favorite dishes at Arancino. I love the wine, garlic, tomato cream sauce on the Ricci di Mare; it’s not the traditional recipe but I prefer Arancino’s version. The better half of the world food duo loves the Carbonara and the perfectly cooked Waimana TKG poached egg puts this dish over the top. So lusciously decadent. For dessert we chose the Tiramisu and the Fragole con Gelato. Arancino’s Tiramisu is deconstructed … In fact, the presentation changed from our last visit. We do miss the espresso dipped ladyfingers, but the dish is art on a plate. I usually order the Affogato, but I opted for something different. I gave the vanilla gelato to my tablemate and just savored the pieces of strawberries with a Balsamico di Modena glaze. I had a French Press coffee … so delicious! It was another great meal at Arancino, although service could have been more attentive … However, that aside, I love this place!

   We had dinner at Arancino twice during our recent stay at the Kahala Hotel and Resort. On our first visit we did the pre fixe selections with wine pairings. For a tasting menu, portions were generous and pairings complemented each course nicely. Our reservation was early, at 5:30, which provided a quiet and relaxed evening. The second visit was at 8 PM and our table was inside. The noise level was considerable due to full occupancy, but management proactively moved us to the quieter patio area after appetizers and salads. Arancino is a professionally managed restaurant offering a top quality dining experience.

   The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The service was a bit too slow, and it was warm sitting outside on the lanai.

   Maria, waithelp, was terrific. Nice, attentive and responsive. Not good was not very friendly greeter who said we had 2-1/2 hours to stay and no other nice greetings. then our entrees took really long to arrive. Nice indoor setting, but because it is open to the front, there were many flies, mosquitoes and other bugs around us and near the cheese round.
