Been here a few times and each time think it’s a bit disappointing. It could be a great restaurant but I think the chef or owner is trying too hard to be Gordon Ramsay or Tom Kerridge. Too few staff to handle the tables. Our young waitress was great but had too many tables to serve so we waited for drinks. Our meals came at different times and extras were forgotten. They were out of the Sirloin on the bone and suckling pig. It was only 8 O’clock so that’s poor. I ordered Fillet but I’m pretty sure it was sirloin I was given. I don’t send food back as I’m worried what will be done to my new dish so I commented and left it at that. We were given a couple of drinks so we were satisfied with that. I really wish they’d concentrate on the basics of good food without the dishes served on tiles and other nonsense. Get an extra waiter in and make sure orders are served together, without forgetting the extras ordered.

The prawns in garlic, roasted padron peppers and calamari was nice for starters. Vegetable roast was somewhat lacking in variation, but the suckling lamb with the Sunday roast was very very nice. I had a very nice bottle of Rioja which was about about £40 ( special occasion ). Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the cheese board on the day ( we've have had a lot better selection previously ). The churros were too fatty too, but overall, we had a lovely Sunday late lunch.

The food is always of a pretty good standard and we have our favourites (mussels, the pork for main), though a little disappointed by the Croquetas this time they were crumbly, no soft centre from overcooking. But my main issue is with the high turnover of staff, I’ve been here four times all relatively recently and don’t recognise any faces. Service was slow, confused and messy - waiting 30 mins after starters for the mains, and they twice forget desserts after ordering (brought out the cheesecake, we had to remind them 10 mins later we’d ordered brownie too). Similar experience to three weeks prior, which is a shame as its otherwise a nice place to go

Had a table booked for 8.30 and didn’t get taken to our table until 9.15 and then when at table they didn’t take our order until another half an hour. Service was appalling and for that reason would not eat here again even though the food was good. We had to constantly get the attention of staff to serve us which is not acceptable.

Overall we had a great time for my daughter’s birthday. Tapas was good and the pork belly bites were amazing. A couple of dishes fell short of expectations and did have to wave to the staff for serving a little too much. But will definitely go back.
