Definitely not a fine dining experience, though the service was good. Hostess left us stranded in middle of room trying to figure out our table searing, and we were seated next to a vent in the corner by a busy door. Restaurant was freezing, extremely loud and chairs were rickety bordering on unstable. Food was fine but not hot. Baked Alaska for daughter’s birthday was good. Overall ambience was dark and dingy. Disappointed.

A wonderful dinner. The food was out of this world! The puffed potatoes were wonderful and maybe even better than the first time I had them there to celebrate my 16th birthday in 1960. Antoine’s was delightful then and has continued their amazing food and top notch service through all these years. Our waiter, Michael (hope I’ve remembered correctly) was extremely personable and helpful with recommendations. The tour of the restaurant after dinner was a highlight of our day to learn about the rich history of Antoine’s.

I was expecting so much more, we were treated badly from the moment we arrived. The food was mediocre at best. Shells in the famous crab appetizer, gumbo served lukewarm and the salad tasted like it was from a bag at the grocery store. We left before the main course. So disappointed

It wasn’t quite the great experience that I had hoped it would be. I had read about the warm bread that was brought to the table. We got one small loaf (not hot) for three of us and when we asked for more when our entrees came and were told “You’ve got it!””, we never received it. At first, the waitress seemed very friendly but was not as competent and professional as you would expect a server at that popular of a restaurant to be. As she described one of the dishes to us, she mispronounced several culinary terms. All in all it seemed like more of a tourist spot than a legendary restaurant. Even the dress code was loosely followed. There were no flip-flops or shorts but not many of the guests had made any extra effort. I do have to say the food was enjoyable though just not the upscale dining experience I had envisioned.

Beautiful place with rich history of all things New Orleans. We had the best waiter who was not only professional but quirky! Food was underwhelming, expect for oysters, best food there. My husband had a steak and it was good. I had the pontchatrain fish and it was just eh… the baked Alaska was cool to look at but the taste was just alright. I definitely think it’s a place to visit once.

It is always a treat dining here! The food is always amazing the soufflé potatoes and oysters Rockefeller are a must try if you are visiting for the first time, the charbroiled oysters are delicious too! The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. I was celebrating a friend’s birthday and our waitress Jessie was friendly and informative about the menu. The baked Alaska is not something to be skipped, you definitely need to try it! After dinner we were given a tour by Roland and he was such a gem! The tour he gave us and another couple was truly wonderful, he was so knowledgeable and friendly. This evening was the perfect ending to our trip. I can’t wait to come back!

Despite the fact that we wore chic clothes (black dress and complet-veston for my husband) we sat in the general room with children and people dressed with hoodies. Bad experience for us ! However the service was amazing and the oysters were very delicious, the rest tasteless. We would not recommend
