   Food was great, service was lacking. Waiter wasn't very friendly and we are elderly and perhaps he didn't hear us when we spoke, but he was a bit rude. Service was also quite slow. It's definitely no Mort's Deli in terms of friendliness. Oh well, old Palisades v. New Palisades.

   Delicious food, beautiful restaurant in Palisades Village! The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining. The ambience is lovely and the menu is delicious (with many vegetarian and vegan options). Please ask about the daily specials- they are always excellent. Four of us shared the Angelini salad- very good with dark greens, cannellini beans, avocado. We had the amazing butterflied grilled shrimp as an appetizer. We all ordered a pasta and then passed the dishes around to try a taste. All the pastas were amazing - delicious lasagna, creamy lemon pasta, perfect bolognese pasta- except the mushroom pasta which sounded so promising but was disappointing. No flavorful umami mushroom taste but a bland flavor- they should use more interesting mushrooms (they use the tiny shimeji mushrooms which are flavorless, with a few king oyster mushrooms- not enough to give it a depth of flavor) porchinis, creminis would be much better.

   Angelini is one of our absolute favorites--not only for Pacific Palisades but for all of Los Angeles. We've had Branzino at restaurants all over the world but Angelini is truly one of our favorite places for this entree anywhere we've dined.

   Everyone loved their pasta dishes. The lasagne and lemon pasta were outstanding as always. We shared tiramisu for the birthday dessert-great way to end a delicious lunch in an upscale setting with wonderful service!

   The place was so noisy that my party of four had to shout to hear each other across the table. Maybe it’s just the Christmas season, but we’re not gonna go back. Also, we asked our server for two separate checks and he said that we would take care of that at the end of the meal. When the check came, there was only one check. So we asked our server to break this down to two checks. He handed it off to a hostess, who came back to the table 10 minutes later with two different checks, saying, “I hope this is right.” It was completely wrong, and mixed up. We felt abused by their carelessness. The food was mostly good, but not good enough to overcome the problems of the restaurant and should have been better given the prices.

   Everything is perfect about Angelini Palisades from the moment you enter and are given a beautiful seat on the patio with lots of warm heaters until you leave. The food is sublime. We had white truffle pasta tonight and it was awesome. The service is warm, friendly and professional. It’s a great restaurant.
