   Do not order the rib eye, it’s thin, dry and over cooked. The wait staff are great but the kitchen is quite slow. I don’t know why I keep going back once a year, it doesn’t improve.

   My husband and I had a fabulous evening at Ancho &Ore. The service was great. We had an exceptional waitress. Food was very tasty. We absolutely love the jazz band Indigo !!

   Anchor and Ore has become one of our favourite places to eat, the food is excellent and well priced. We generally attend on weekends and really enjoy the bonus of the fine music provided by the Mark Thibert trio it adds another level to a very enjoyable night out. Definitely reccomend this fine restaurant.

   Two of us ordered the brisket - it was very dry/over- cooked in our opinion and cut incorrectly which likely made it more difficult to pull apart. Sweet potato fries were cold and overcooked/hard. Our server was awesome though, and replaced the fries with a different side option. Overall noise level was pretty high. Not great value imo.

   Do not order the brisket. Driest ever !!! My pasta was delicious other than the fact that the tails were ON the shrimp Service was great!!!!

    I had the ribeye steak ($58) which comes with two sides. I had a house salad and macaroni & cheese as my sides. The main complaint I had with the meal was that the steak was no thicker than 1/4 inch and was not like any ribeye I have ever seen or eaten. This cut looked more like a rib steak as it was about 5 in. long and 3 in. wide. Being so thin, it was impossible to get it medium rare. The au jus that came with the steak was so salty that it was inedible. The sides were just ok, nothing to write home about. I ordered an 8 oz. glass of wine and my friend ordered a 5 oz. glass. Both were almost exactly the same level in the glasses. Certainly this meal wasn't worth the money. Considering that there are a multitude of excellent restaurants within 4 blocks of this one, go to another one if you want a decent meal.
