   I’ve had my eye on Anatolia for a while, so when my dad came to visit, it was the perfect opportunity to finally try it out. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was kind and attentive, the walls were decorated beautifully with paintings and wine. We loved it and my dad said he needs to move to Nashville now so that he can come back more often. Luckily, I live here and will be back very soon :-)

   Last night, Saturday November 16 was a nightmare. We had reservations for 6:30 and arrived at 6:25. Finally we were seated at 7:00. If it were not for me we would still be waiting. I had to claim a table because the person at the front was clueless. After we were seated, there we sat until 7:25, menus in hand wanting to have a cocktail before we ordered. I finally got up from my chair and flagged a server down who was clearing the table next to us. I asked him if we were invisible? He was really nice and understood the situation. I was furious, he calmed me down. He took our drink order and left the menus with us. It took 15 minutes to receive our drink from him and then we promptly ordered our food. I need to back up 7 minutes. A female server arrived at our table in the meantime ready to take our order. I told her that we had just ordered drinks from another waiter. She asked me what type of wine did I want and what did we want to order. She was on the edge of ‘dumb and a dimwit’, I mean that nicely. She asked again for the wine list and that was then I gave her the wine menu and asked her to just go away. I assume she was out, meant to be server. Funny in a very bad way, she was 45 minutes late even to greet us much less think I would put up with her waiting on us. As she walked away our drinks arrived from our first very, very nice man (our new server, about 50 years old) and made us happy. We have frequented your place for lunch many times and only 2 times for dinner. I will never come on a weekend again. And will mostly re-think the horrible experience of the last night. I don’t want a thing from you, really. Not even sorry you had such a bad experience-you know what I think now. Possibly you could train your help to be better, not over book EVER in the future. I tipped the waiter 20%+ because he deserved it. I would have asked the hostess and the other supposed waitress to tip me for the inconvenience and irritation.

   Lamb shank was excellent. Lamb kabobs were overcooked and tough. Our server was very good.

   It was the normal, wonderful experience we’ve come to expect from Anatolia. We had all been there before and knew what to expect. Food, service, ambiance were all just what we needed.

   The hospitality is friendly, easy, and genuine. The menu has good variety of selections. The prices are quite reasonable. The food is delicious. All around great experience.

    New favorite on menu. Ezme appetizer! Especially good with the hot bread straight from the oven . If lamb shank is a special it’s worth the splurge! Either split it with a friend or take it home for dinner the next night. Green beans with the lamb were delicious.
