Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.

    Another great evening at Anatoli Souvlaki. Shared a Saganaki starter - better than in Greece! Country Lamb and Lamb Youvetsi were both lovely. Good value drinks. Excellent service from Sean and Sam.

    Went for Valentine’s Day dinner 2025. The food and service were excellent. The warm olives (must have if you like olives) and homous were great appetizers and our mains,the vegan calamari dinner and vegan souvlaki dinner, were very good with a bottle of red. Lots of food! The ambiance was nice. We had a cozy table in the back and it was nice and warm in the restaurant on a cold night. The belly dancing was a fun surprise. Our server Spiri (sp?) was excellent. Would recommend.

    Menu for lunch was very confusingn to assemble our lunches.. Expecting the traditional greek plating (the salad was delicious,) the lamb skewers were rather tough and presented on a separate plate with just the skewer and a slightly dry bit of pita bread and separate, again a small container of tazaki. Parking $13 for 2 hours. The salad and 1 skewer was $27.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service. Unfortunately, a group of women seated near us were very loud and raucous and which made for difficult conversation for the three of us. The level of music at that time was particularly loud and we felt that we were shouting at one another to be heard! That being said, our waiter was excellent and the meal delicious!

    Truly top tier Greek cuisine. Expertly seasoned flavors highlight and enhance the natural taste of the quality, fresh ingredients of every dish. Delightful meat texture and well balanced in every way! We had the Dine Out menu. What an exceptional meal. Thank you!
