The experience was not what I was expecting. The mac and cheese was bland and unappetizing, so we sent it back. The wings tasted as if they had been microwaved, and there was a terrible aftertaste after I ate a piece, so I couldn't continue. The cornbread tasted pre-packaged; although it was labeled as skillet cornbread, it wasn’t actually cooked in a skillet—just served in one. The cinnamon rolls were microwaved, lacking any crispiness, and they were essentially just apples covered in a lot of cinnamon sugar that overpowered the taste. On a positive note, the Brussels sprouts, cheesesteaks, and my strawberry lemon drop were great. However, my overall experience for my husband's birthday was very disappointing. Even though we sent the mac and cheese back, I was still charged for it. This charge wasn’t on the original receipt; we only noticed it when I received the email receipt while on my way home. I have attempted to call several times, but the phone number doesn’t work. I would never return to this restaurant because when I drive over an hour for a dining experience, I expect the prices to reflect the quality of the food served.

I had a reservation for one and was seated at the bar. It was the 20% service fee that I must have overlooked (not) that was added to my check along with a 20% tip for the bartender which I would have given more in cash had management not lookout for itself. That additional unexpected service was a major turn off. For that reason only I will not be going back.

If you are with a group, it probably is a great place. As a single traveler, not so much. I was placed very close to the front door on a very blustery night. The cold that hit me every time the door opened made enjoying a meal difficult. On another note, I thoroughly enjoyed the collared greens and the crab cake was the largest that I have ever had.

This was my first time here. My daughter was at a Sweet 16 at another restaurant near by and I decided to not go back home. I will be back. I was hoping to see the owner as she and I worked together years ago. The food was excellent.

I enjoyed my experience here, I would come back to try different items…you gotta get the peri peri wings and cheesesteak beignets! For a main dish I got the beef rib with cheese grits! Rib was nice and tender, grits was a nice substitute for a dish that is usually served with mashed potatoes, the sauce that’s drizzled on the plate was great…next I’m gonna ask for more of that to put on the rib! Sides are big enough to share with the table which is cool…I got the Brussels and the Mac n Cheese. Brussels were good, the Mac let me down a little bit…I’ve seen on social media how creamy and cheesy it can be, but mine on this occasion was a little dry unfortunately! I opted not to have the dorito crust and when it came out it had this nicely baked crust you want on a good baked Mac n cheese but when I broke into it, it wasn’t as creamy or cheesy as I hoped but it was still enjoyable! The vibe and atmosphere is really nice..great music, and a friendly staff! I made a reservation and was seated right away, it did take a little while before someone took our order, but when they came over they apologized and service was great for the rest of the evening!

The food was amazing! Service was even better, if that’s possible. Jenn and Ezra were the absolute best!! Will definitely be back on my next trip to Philly.

My husband & I went to Amina to celebrate my birthday. It was an awesome experience. They did not disappoint. Service was excellent. Jen & especially Ezra were great. The food was amazing. My husband was still raving about how delicious the food was a day later. This was our first time and definitely not our last. We will return. This is our new favorite restaurant.
