   We arrived towards the end of afternoon tea service, and although we had booked we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for acknowledgement of our arrival in the lounge. The service was excellent, with a clear explanation of all the food we received. All the food was delicious. The noise level was quiet, but only because we chose a quiet lounge (no music) and asked for the door to be closed.

   We had a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate a 40th birthday. Everyone was so friendly and the service was excellent. There was such a lovely choice of food and they catered well for our dietary requirements too - highly recommend.

   Had an afternoon tea with champagne for my mums birthday. The champagne was excellent. For the desert course they made a personalised birthday cupcake as well as a hand written birthday card for my mum. We will definitely be coming back :)

   Although the setting was in a castle which was pretty amazing, the overall feel for a Relais Chateaux property didn’t feel luxurious as it should have been. The service is subpar at best. The afternoon tea food was pretty tasty but I was expecting a bit of holiday flare since it was New Year’s Day. The tea was quite delicious as expected. Overall the experience was average.

   The £50 price tag was not reflected in the food quality. It was not great service, the booking was not recognized and if you have a child with you there is no adaption to the afternoon tea to cater for younger tastes.

   Festive afternoon tea was just the perfect way to start Christmas. We had a gorgeous view sat by the window overlooking the gardens and the open fires made it feel super Christmassy. Food was lovely and some nice festive touches such as mulled wine to start and Christmas themed cakes. I marked down a star for service as although all the staff who looked after us were lovely, I felt at times service was a little slow and on a couple of occasions we were looking for someone to come over rather than then being there. When we asked for more sandwiches they were happy to oblige but in other locations we've always been asked if we'd like anything else rather than having to ask. Also, and this applies to many venues not just this one but on paying, 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. If you're going to add it anyway just include it in the price because as the way it's presented, as you're leaving, with people queued up behind you often difficult then ask to be taken off. The service was good but as expected for afternoon tea so would expect the service to be included in the £/ head. Overall Amberley castle is one of our favourite venues and we will go back. Just a couple of minor suggestions for service and it would be 5* from me.

   Lovely evening, with very good service. Especially from the very attentive gentleman from Serbia, and the gentleman from Argentina! So sorry to have forgotten their names. A very special place, with so much history.

    A beautiful place but not for a festive afternoon tea . We chose Amberley castle as we assumed that a 5 star hotel we would get a special afternoon tea Our table was not ready for us and room was empty with hardly any Christmas decorations Table was not festive and the room had no atmosphere We waited over an hour for a savoury selection which was nothing very special . And then waited another hour for our cakes and scones which again were nothing special Tea was nice and hot and selection good Service was okay We were a group of 5 ladies all family and go every year for afternoon tea at Christmas We chose Amberley thinking it would be a very special place to make memories sadly we will not return ..
