Excellent cocktails, service and selections. Whole fish prices seem high but the preparation is outstanding.

We loved our dinner! The four of us shared seven dishes and every one was a winner. Our server was terrific in his explanation of the food and his attentiveness--just right but not too much. Go!

We are Peruvian and brought my "gringo" partner for our special birthday dinner. Everything was top notch. We have tried almost all Peruvian DMV special offerings. This was SO wonderful. Greeting at front door, server Claudia (excellent genuine and knowledgeable), back servers (smiles and never a dry water glass), bar tender with specialty cocktails. Pisco is the most extensive menu in the area. Trust me we know. Food is delicious and plentiful. Generous portions and top quality fish and meat. Cooked perfectly. Definitely will go back. We shared some appetizers (anticuchos, ceviche, scallops on parmesan shells). Main entrees were outstanding (lomo saltado with Wagyu beef, octopus, pasta with crab). Alley is narrow be cautious but there are 2 public parking lots to use with QRC. Looking forward to our return.

I made a reservation for my parents on a whim while they are in DC on business and all I heard about the rest of the night was how amazing their evening was from food to drink to ambience to service. Truly outstanding.

I’ve often been told that Peruvian cuisine is one of the most sublime and inventive in the world, and thanks to Amazonia I now believe it (forgive me for thinking it was just roasted chicken on a spit). The menu offers numerous pathways to enjoy your meal, including complex ceviches, grilled skewers, larger fish dishes and even top-quality sashimi. So don’t go there with anyone who doesn’t like to share food! For us the highlights were the ceviche-ish tuna, the salad with hearts of palm, the dishes with plantain and at the end, the small but dense chocolate cake. And of course the Pisco Sours—lots of Pisco Sours! Note that a 20% service charge is automatically added to your bill; additional tipping is not obligated.
