A throwback to the quintessential New York City dining experience of the 1930’s & 40’s, with a modern approach. Enjoy expertly curated wines, spirits and specialty cocktails.

Located in the heart of Westman Village in Mahogany, we are Calgary's favourite venue for live jazz, dancing, amazing food and drinks.

We are open Tuesday to Thursday at 5:00pm until late Friday to Sunday at 4:00pm to late with live entertainment every night. Come enjoy our Sunday Jazzy Brunch 10:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy our fabulous Happy Hour from Tuesday to Thursday 5:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday to Sunday 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

    We just found the music was too loud. I think it is too small of a restaurant to have a five piece band. We enjoyed much more last time with the 3 pace band and more easy going music. Ambience is great at Alvyns

    Small elegant,cozy,tight venue. Meals were good,average portions.Some added bread and butter baskets would have been nice ,given the prices. A quick dining evening.Reservations are restricted to 2 hours.So no lingering after dinner to enjoy an evening out. Complementary free parking was nice.

    I took my daughter for the Blues band at Alvin’s. The food was great, music was fantastic and the ambiance was magical. Beautiful evening with my daughter for Christmas!

    We were very impressed with the entire evening. Ambiance was perfect as was the sound level from the live entertainment which still allowed conversations. Definitely will be back and recommend Alvin’s to others!

    First time at Alvin's. Good food. Well portioned. Nicely dim ambiance that had jazzy Christmas music playing. Not overly crowded. One sticking point was the flambe fondue appetizer. Waitress brought it over, tried to light the brandy, lighter didn't work, she just walked away. We told another waitress about it who just said ok and also walked away. Sort of soured an otherwise great experience.

    Had a booking for 10:15pm and table wasn’t ready until 10:45pm and music band had already started their last set. Took a bit to get our first round of drink ordered and when the bottle of wine finally came it was the wrong bottle.
