Named one of 20 Best New Restaurants in America for 2024 By Bon Appetit!

In a distant European city, Fabian and Miriam vanished into the Alps, trading their city lives for mountain solitude. Once busy young professionals, their days were consumed by demanding careers, their rare weekends cherished for dining out and dancing, occasionally venturing into the mountains.

But destiny intervened when Miriam inherited her grandfather's Alpine hut, nestled amidst the rustic charms of the mountains. They cut ties with the city, forsaking it for good. Days were spent farming, foraging, crafting cheese, and making wine. Nights brought cooking, baking, wine-drinking, and stargazing.

Friends from the city visited, but Fabian and Miriam never looked back. They were drawn deeper into the mountains, caught in the Alpenrausch's dual meaning—the exhilaration of mountain air and the intoxication of good company, fine wine, and schnapps.

The outdoor tables are like a downgraded version of the inside tables. The door slams every time someone comes in or out and they really need to cover the main entrance to keep heat in. Felt like we were forgotten a couple of times and straight up for the price - it’s not the same restaurant as the indoor version.

Service was excellent. Limited menu and very loud. Unable to converse well with the friends on the other side of the table (Party of 4)

The service was good and the fondue was pretty good, was hoping for a larger portion since the menu said it would feed 2-3 people barely fed two.

It was a very cute interior, but portions were small and service was pretty bad. Slow and inattentive. Good flavor on what we had, but it just isn't worth the price. Also not a good sign they misspelled Spätzle, a signature dish, several times on their menu.

Cocktails were excellent… burger was ok, I have had better, but the fries made up for it… could make a meal around those fries!

Initially, great start with our lovely hostess's wonderful greeting and our table ready 15 minutes early for a group of 7. Great advice on beverage selections from the waitress. Opportunities: Vegetables for the fondue were picked (not sure if that is typical of the region they are representing). The fondue lacked flavor and the typical sharpness I am accustomed to. Overall, I was very underwhelmed by the fondue. Two friends in the group found the trout, but they did not enjoy the sauce or the vegetables. One friend did not enjoy the dressing on the salad. I enjoyed it. I was just surprised as I felt most of my group was not in love with the food. We eat out weekly, and as a group monthly I feel we have a good sense of food selections. The food seemed slightly overpriced for the quality of the food. While I may have missed this the biggest opportunity was that our waitress left halfway through our meal. We were not informed that she was leaving and that another waitress would be taking over. Nor did the new waitress announce she would be taking over the table. I found it rather impersonal. Proper etiquette like this is what raises a restaurant star in my opinion. Finally, I will give props to clean draft lines and glassware. It was amazing to see the beautiful foam that clung to my glass with each sip and the beer was delicious, the right temperature, and a demonstration of a true Swartzbier. Thank you! It is extremely difficult to find darker biers especially Swartzbiers in a world of IPAs. Also, it was awesome as my girlfriends all tried it, not one of them having tasted a swartzbier prior. They liked it a lot. The cocktail was delicious too. Disco naps! It was darker and harder to read the menus. I am now positioning this location in my mind more as a place for charcuterie or appetizers and cocktails. Thank you.

We had dinner at Alpenrausch for the first time. The food was pretty good but not quite spectacular. A couple of dishes were under salted and lacking a bit of that something extra. The staff was excellent. On top of the service and very pleasant. All in all it was an enjoyable evening.

Alpenrausch was really a surprise for its innovative menu, fast and professional service and warm ambiance! We have traveled to Switzerland and Alpenrausch was. Every bit as good as any high end restaurant we ate in during our trip! I would highly recommend it!

First time here. Pretzel was absolute perfection. Glazed with butter, thick at the top end and tapering thinner as it got to the folded arms section. Quail was wonderful and the spaetzle were also perfect. Venison was very mild but good. I prefer a bit gamier taste from my venison. Budino was very good with whole hazelnuts and blueberries. Had the bar recommend wines by the glass to match our meals and they were also nice. Something different from the usual Pinots and such we normally get.
