   We had a brilliant dinner at AKIRA last Thursday. We opted for the 5 course wagyu menu and it was superb, especially the sashimi box and the wagyu with sushi and miso. The food was excellent. The service was impeccable with a great wine choice recommended to us. This is not a cheap meal but great value for the variety and quality. The whole experience was superb.

   This was our first visit to Akira. The sushi bento box and wagyu beef salad we had for lunch was as good as any we have had outside Japan and a really worthwhile experience, especially coupled with a trip to the Japan House exhibition, "Looks Delicious".

    It is always a nice evening at Akira. It is easy to find a table but the restaurant looks always busy though! Service is kind and friendly and the the food is consistently good!
