AKASHA restaurant/bar/cafe features New American cuisine offering comfort food with big flavors and sustainable ingredients, for carnivores and herbivores alike. Chef/Caterer Akasha Richmond brings visionary cuisine to her own neighborhood eatery located in the historic Hull Building in downtown Culver City. Keeping the principles of sustainability in mind, the building's original steel, wood, concrete and brick arches were restored while the design materials pair with a seventies modernity to exude an inviting and lively atmosphere. The artisan bakery has both sweet and savory selections, as well as locally roasted direct trade coffee. The 20-seat bar highlights fresh juice cocktails, organic and premium spirits, beer and wine. The entire menu is available for catering or to go.

Server didn't even visit our table for at least half an hour. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry and we're enjoying out visit. Ordered a chocolate croissant and it came cold, not earned up. On the other hand, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Nice that there's a parking garage next door.

Wonderful except for the steak. They said it was the cut. It was the only disappointment. Hummus, Wings, Pizza, Brownie, Wagyu Burger were all delicious and our server was kind, efficient and courteous. The hostess at the front were personable and friendly. Parking was easy. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Great place for a business lunch that's pleasant to sit in, delicious food - the menu has something to please everyone - friendly and attentive service. Truly a favorite in the whole area.

Had a bad experience with a bartender a few years ago who engaged in a really uncalled for exchange with my guest that left us perplexed and not going back for years. It was unfortunate that this guy was allowed in the establishment that i visited so frequently and that in the moment wasn't handled properly. I took a chance last night and was happy to see he was not there. It matters who we have represent us. The food is alway great! I loved everything including the server we had. Mac and cheese and the steak were amazing!!!

Last night we went to an Akasha / Hitching Post wine tasting dinner. Both are favorite restaurants, and the combination was terrific. The food was, as always, excellent, the wait staff outstanding, and the wine delicious. A wonderful night.

We had an extraordinary evening at Akasha! The winemakers featured Hitching Post wines, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The highlight of the night was the food! We savored a fabulous ribeye and a baked potato, both cooked to perfection. To top it off, we even watched the Dodger Game on their big screen! What a night!
