About this restaurant

Kyō-Kaiseki is a traditional Kyōto-style course menu steeped in history and ritual. Michelin Star Chef Ryusuke Nakagawa’s modern interpretation embodies and elevates the tradition to create a distinctively contemporary experience. Starting with a foundation of the finest Japanese ingredients from the land and sea, he incorporates local produce to reflect the changing seasons.     Aburi Hana invites you to an exclusive one-night-only Nabeshima Sake Collaboration Dinner at our intimate Chef’s Counter. This special evening features an eight-course Kyō-Kaiseki menu by Executive Chef Ryusuke Nakagawa, paired with six sakes from Fukuchiyo Sake Brewery, the acclaimed producer behind the Nabeshima label, selected and curated by Sake Director Amy Lee. Founded in Kashima, Saga Prefecture, Fukuchiyo Sake Brewery is a family-run brewery led by third-generation Toji & President Naoki Iimori, who in 1987, established Nabeshima—a sake line dedicated to their highest quality and craftsmanship. Fukuchiyo gained international recognition when it was awarded Champion Sake at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in 2011, cementing its status among Japan’s finest. Brewed with a focus on purity and depth, Nabeshima sakes are known for their vibrant character, refined complexity, and deep connection to Kyushu’s brewing heritage. This collaboration unites Aburi Hana’s modern Kyō-Kaiseki with Fukuchiyo’s dedication to excellence, with each sake carefully selected to enhance the nuances of Chef Nakagawa’s menu. The experience is priced at $500 per guest (plus gratuity & HST), offering a rare opportunity to explore the art of Japanese craftsmanship, where sake and cuisine come together in perfect harmony.

Please note that pairing prices are per guest and pre-tax. We are proud to carry one of the city's finest collections of sake, wine, and spirits; limited-release bottles and exceptional vintages curated by Sake Director, Amy Lee and our team of Sommeliers. Six-Course Beverage Pairing - $180 Eight-Course Beverage Pairing - $200 Wine, Whiskey, Tea & Non-alcoholic - A-la-carte Pricing Our signature omotenashi service was derived from traditional Japanese tea ceremonies and continues to inspire us to go above and beyond in our care and recommendations for each guest. Our servers are always ready to welcome non-alcoholic options, which are available upon request. Corkage service is available in the Private Dining Rooms and we charge $75.00 for a standard 750ml wine or 720ml sake. Please be advised a maximum of 2 standard bottles per reservation is allowed and the corkage service is not available for the Chef's Counter reservations.
