A16 is a Michelin rated and James Beard Award Winning restaurant bringing the delicious and hospitable traditions of lively Campania to San Francisco. The chic, rustic/modernist venue is named after the motorway that transverses the South of Italy. Executive Chef Yosuke Machida carefully selects local, organic produce and meats to prepare a daily menu specializing in wood oven-fired Neapolitan pizza, braised meatballs, vibrant salads, pasta and local meats and seafood dishes. Owner Shelley Lindgren works closely with a well-versed, hospitable service team to bring one of the SF Bay Area's celebrated wine and food destinations.

We had a great New Year’s Eve experience. The decor was fun and festive and also pretty! Food was outstanding. We were especially grateful for the sommelier’s expert advice on the perfect Italian red for our meal.

Still a winner after all these years. Solid service, food, and ambiance. Pizzas a gid value, other portions a little small for the price. Nice stemware for wine.

While visiting the city, we had our first dinner @A16. The ribs and pizza were incredible. Also good wine list and recommendation.

Our pizza was undercooked and was raw dough. The pasta was unbelievably bland. Was really looking forward to this place off the reviews but was honestly extremely disappointing.
