   Our server was exceptional! I gave 4 stars only because the veal starter was not good at all. Tough meat, and I don’t think the sauce was homemade(don’t taste like it anyway). All the rest of the food was incredibly tasty, complex flavors, and we savored each bite. Cocktails were outstanding.

   54 Mint has been a favorite place in the past, but last night's experience has changed that. They just weren't the same restaurant. For starters, for a party of three only one menu was provided. 1) Grilled Polpo (octopus) was ice cold and hadn't seen a hot grill in quite some time. The accompanying potato/celery was also refrigerator ice cold. 2) One entree, CODA alla VACCiNARA, my friend said was excellent. 3) The second person had the special mushroom risotto which he said "just OK." 4) I had the lamp chops, which for $45 were the smallest I've ever seen. Additionally the accompanying sauteed broccolini was not hot, as if cooked earlier, taken and set aside. 5) The service wasn't much better. Asking for ground pepper and we were brought a dish of pepper. Only after restating we wanted fresh ground pepper was a pepper mill brought out. We had to ask again each time something was delivered! In a high-end restaurant, I expect food to be cooked to order, served hot to warm, and certainly not cold.

   Outstanding dining experience at 54 Mint. Great food, cocktails and impeccable service. This was a birthday celebration and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant itself has great atmosphere and an inviting decor. It is within a block or two of an area of SOMA with a large congregation of unhoused people but they did not bother us or our guests. I will definitely dine here again.

   Restaurant itself was great, but it is in a terrible terrible neighborhood with no valet! Definitely would not be back unless they get a valet. Felt very unsafe even walking one block to my car 😕

   I had a great experience here. I went a couple of weeks ago for my birthday, and I really enjoyed it. The service was super good, everyone was super nice that worked there. They had an amazing ambience and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was excellent. You can definitely tell everything is made by high-quality chefs, especially the homemade pasta! Would definitely recommend. If you don't go to this restaurant, you are doing yourself a disservice!!!

   The food was amazing. The weight staff was from Italy and very knowledgeable about the food nice and quiet upstairs wonderful experience I would go there again.

    We were greeted with an open attitude and the service was excellent throughout the night. Casual open and friendly. Food was fantastic - we were lucky enough to come for restaurant week but will definitely be back. Nice wine list and aperitif selection. Outdoor seating if the weather supports it. Overall a very pleasant evening and great atmosphere. Pasta was spot on as are their vegetable presentations. If you get excited about being charged for bread and oil be aware they do - but well worth it and in today’s keto world it makes sense.
